Name: Keith Flare
Race: Human, male
Age: 27 years
Homeplanet: Coruscant
Height: 1,97 m
Weight: 89 kg
Haircolour: Darkblond
Eyecolour: Bright blue with stains of green
Appearance:
One of the first things you'll notice, should you ever face Keith Flare, are his eyes, dominating his face with their bright blue colour. Mostly they reveal as much warmth as a frozen lake in the hardest winther, but Keith has not yet managed the abillity to prevent his charming smiles from reaching his eyes now and then. When in control of himself, he is able to look like a numb, cruel and merciless Fallen Jedi. Truth to be told, that's what he wants to acheive, but his looks are against him. His hair is short and fuzzy in a darkblond colour, and two wisps of hair always find their way into his eyes at any time – even the most inconvinient.
Keith's features are sharp, and there's a harsh draw around his mouth, reminding people of his hard life. The dark brown eyebrows are always frowned, giving his face a rejecting, thoughtful and bitter trait.
Keith is tall and slim, but his long hours of working out are showing off on his body. His training contains mostly (or more likely always) practicing the art of light saber combat. Keith is a skilled fighter with a light saber, considering himself an expert, and is obsessed in putting together different traits of light saber tecniques, mixing it up with moves of the martial arts. He is good at what he does. Light saber is the only thing, he truly masters. Whenever he draws his weapon, his eyes light up in a glint of madness, convincing anybody of the fact that something might be very wrong inside his head. This conviction is only increased by the sight of the crazy smile on Keith's lips.
Keith is not marked by any serious injuries, except one from which he would very much be without. A horrifying scar is covering a big part of the front side of his right shoulder. The collar bone itself is separated from the rest of the shoulder, surrounded by scar tissue with the look of meltet cheese. Taking hits to his right shoulder is extremely painful, and in a worst-case-scenario it stuns both the arm and the shoulder. Fortunately, Keith is both left-and righthanded. He got the scar from the last confrontation with his Master, where Keith slayed his old teacher.
From his passing to Fallen Jedi Keith marked himself with two tattoos: A black sun in the back of his neck and the same symbol on the back of his left hand. Sith symbols, but Keith doesn't consider himself as one of those Dark Lords. It is a gesture of admiration and respect to the Dark Side of the Force.
Keith is not a big fan of black, formel tunics, often worn by Fallen Jedis. He prefers a coarse, off-white shirt, never buttoned up entirely and stuffed into his worn-off brown pants. He wears steel armored, dark brown boots and a black pilot jacket with a big collar. Around the neck he carries an Acklay tooth in a leather string. Keith despises the thought of wearing a cloak. He wears two belts, one around his waist, the other across his chest from the left side to his right shoulder. These belts contains some tools for emergency repairs of spacecrafts, a datapad, a blaster, a commlink, some Thermal Detonators and two light sabers. Keith's own constructed light saber with a blade of bloody red, and his old Master's weapon with a blade of crystal blue.
Keith is often seen standing with his arms crossed over his chest, like waiting for something. However, this position he doesn't hold for long, if there's action ahead.
Abillities:
Keith is a really lousy Force-user, when it comes to telekinesis. He can't levitate things without requiring silence and his own full concentration. On the other hand he is good at blocking his mind to prevent opponents from sensing his next move or distracting him. He rarely turns a challenge down. Which is both a good thing and a bad thing.
Once Keith had a serious drinking problem. He controls it for the moment, but only by not allowing himself to touch any alchoholic drinks. If he starts to drink again, his greatest fear is not being able to stop.
In the field Keith distinguish himself by his abillity to move quickly through rough terrain and his skills as a lightsaber fighter.
Personality:
Keith shows many sides of himself to the galaxy. One example is the shallow, humourous side, mixed with both bitterness and cheerfulness, another is the cold, bitter, rejecting type, and yet another is the mad, bloodthirsty part, taking him over in combat.
He is described by many to be completely unpredictable. Keith always gets in trouble because of his provoking nature and his big mouth, which sometimes chooses to speak without his consent. It will surely get him killed someday. He has still much to learn when it comes to think before acting, and think before speaking.
However, Keith is not the talking type, when people tries to start a conversation with him, and he hates long discussions and exhausting, pointless debates. He wants the hard, cold facts and then immediate action. He has a very dry humor and a sharp sarcasm to throw in the face of any body, at any time. Sometimes he just spits his jokes out, as if he's just making a simple point. It makes the listeners laugh, though it is not always Keith's intentions to entertain.
On the outside he wants to make the impression of an evil Fallen Jedi without compassion and in ful control of his emotions. Inside there is still a small sparkle of light fighting the darkness in him.
History:
Keith was born in the lower levels of Corsucant, where he was discovered by a group of Jedis travelling through. They took him to the Jedi Temple on the planet, where he was to be trained as a Jedi. When Keith got older, a Jedi Master named Sew Niiél took him as his Padawan.
Keith longed to be a Jedi, but he was often frustrated by the missing progress in levitating things, healing and other tecniques, considered to be simple by other Padawans. He gave vent to his frustrations and anger by working out and practicing light saber combat. In this disciplin he put so much passion and resulotion in that he was coming dangerously close to the Dark Side. Master Niiél watched his Padawan with a growing worry, but Keith evaded him, should he ever try to talk to the young Padawan about it. For Keith, the best solution would be to accept that he would never master the same abillities as other Jedis. His powers were suited for something else. But Keith continued to train his weak, telekinetic abillities, feeding his anger even more.
When Keith was around 24, he was sent to Coruscant's Underworld on a mission without his Master. His first mission alone. A band of pirates had been causing trouble spreading to the upper levels of the city. Keith were siccesful in locating the Pirates' Nest, but before he could take out just one Pirate, he met a woman, a few years older than himself. The moment Keith faced her, he felt like looking into a mirror and see his own reflection. A very different reflection, but nevertheless a reflection. At the same time he sensed a strange bond to the woman, like she was family or somehow close to him. But throughout his childhood and youth he had considerede himself to be an orphan with no living family left. The Jedi were supposed to be his only family. But the woman recognized him by his bright blue eyes, matching her own as a family trait, and introduced herself as Melissa, his older sister. His family still lived in the hole from which the Jedi had removed him as an infant. Even Keith's parents were still alive and well.
With this knowledge Keith left, shocked into the core of his soul. He didn't even complete his mission. He returned to the Jedi Temple, burning with rage, and confronted his Master with what he had been told by Melissa. Master Niiél denied none of these news, but he told Keith to stay away from his sister and the rest of his family. The young Padawan was furious, yet he could do nothing but obeying his Master.
To forget his troubles Keith once again pledged himself to the light saber's martial arts. This time more savagely and aggressive than ever before. He closed his mind completely, even from his Master. Should Master Niiél ever try to reach out in an attempt to read his thoughts, he would get nothing but a pale reflection of himself in return. The Jedi Master couldn't do much about his Padawan's case, and in the end he chose to discuss it with the Jedi Council.
Keith was questioned by the Council, and the only reason why he was allowed to continue his training was Master Niiél defending him. The Jedi Master still had some hope in his Padawan. Keith was off the hook, but his trust in his Master was shattered, however. The relation between the teacher and his student would never heal. Meanwhile Keith picked up his light saber combat again.
Everything went wrong, when Keith nearly killed another Padawan in a duel. Master Niiél interfered, saving the Padawan's life, but was forced to fight his student.
Keith killed his own Master in an act of pure rage, after a long, exhausting fight, which had injured him seriously. He claimed Master Niiél's light saber, his won destroyed in the duel.
After the slaying of his old teacher Keith left Coruscant and the Jedi Order for good. He travelled the galaxy around, taking jobs as a pilot or a mechanic. Whatever could pay him enough credits to live.
Keith disappeared for some time, but not rumour has it that he has joined a group of Fallen Jedis. He has built a new light saber and is already a admirable fighter in using two light sabers. But his left arm and shoulder are forever crippled, feeding his hate and anger against the Jedi each day.
