Kiineq sighs lightly as the ship begins it's journey through hyperspace. Here we go again.
After reassuring himself that everything is going to plan, he gets up from the chair.

Shep stays still where he is, looking up at his Master, almost asking if he should follow, but not quiet.

Kiineq sends Shep a smile as he catches the boy's eyes. He turns and leaves the cockpit.

Shep turns back towards the view screen and looks out at the colours of hyperspace. He rests his head back against the chair and starts going over what he had been studying before they left.

It doesn't take long before Kiineq reappears in the cockpit, now carrying two mugs.
He hands one to Shep before sitting back down in the pilot's chair.

"Thanks, Master." Shep says as he accepts the mug. He smiles as the steam from the hot cocoa reaches his face. He takes a small sip of the hot liquid, and grimaces slightly. His Master has added some sugar, but not nearly as much as Shep would have done himself. Not that he does not like cocoa without sugar, he just likes it better with loads of sugar in it.

"You're welcome"
Kiineq chuckles slightly as Shep grimaces. He is fully aware that the boy would probably have emptied the sugar can into the cup and still not have found it sweet enough, had he made the cocoa himself.

"Do you have any idea what we are facing, Master?" Shep asks, "I mean apart from flying dogs."

Kiineq's expression turns more serious and his brow furrows a bit. "I'm not entirely sure." he says. "All Master Chapaa'ai told me was that an Anzat had attacked a local farmer and that she had miraculously survived."

"Anzat?" Shep looks up sharply at his Master. "But ..." Shep trails off, and seems to remember his mug of coca and takes a sip from it. "The dark Jedi who Sarré encountered, was an anzat." The last part is said mostly to himself.

Kiineq is thoughtfully sipping from his own cup.
He looks sideways at Shep at the boy's last comment. "Your memory serves you well" he says appreciatively.

"Thanks, Master." Shep smiles.
Shep decides to dig a bit more in his memory, but comes up more or less empty on the subject of dark Jedi anzats, except for what they have already covered.

The Master is quiet for a long while, apparently lost in though.

"Master?" Shep asks. He is not sure what his Master is thinking or whether he should be interrupting the others thoughts, but he does it anyway.

"Yes, Shep?" Kiineq slowly tuns to face the boy.

"I was wondering..." Shep starts to say slowly, thinking hard to formulate his question. "who decides what Jedi needs to know? I mean, we can't learn everything about everything right? But who decides what we learn? And why?" The last part is added more as an afterthought.

Kiineq's brow furrows slightly at the question. Not from annoyance, but simply because he is thinking about his answer.
"No, no one can learn everything about everything. That's simply not possible" he finally says. "And I do not believe that anybody will ever learn all there is to know about the Force."
He is quiet for a moment before continuing.
"Therefore certain things has been agreed upon that all Jedi must learn, whether it be as younglings in the Temple or from their Masters when they become Padawans. But ultimately a Jedi's education never ends. Not even when you reach knighthood. So, in a way, you could say that you yourself are responsible for what you learn."

"But who has agreed upon them? And when?" Shep asks.

"The Councils through the ages, most likely." Kiineq replies. "I doubt that it happened overnight. It's more likely that it has been trial and error."

"Trial and error?" The Padawan's head turns to look at his Master, clearly surprised. "But.." The boy drifts off, thinking.
A moment later he continues. "If it's all trial and error, then why is it all so bound up on tradition? I mean, how do 'they' know that what they are doing are the right thing? If it's trial and error then in a hundred years someone could come along and prove that it is all wrong, right?"

"Perhaps. On the other hand, these 'things' have been there for countless generations. Over such a long time, it has already been proved that certain things work and are relevant to learn, while other things are not. I..."
His explanation is cut short by a shrill warning, alerting them to the fact that they are coming out of hyperspace and nearing the planet.
Kiineq turns to the controls, before looking at the boy. "Do you want to take us in?" he asks, as he makes a few adjustments.

Shep grins widely. "Sure, Master." He says enthusiasticly and takes over the controls. For now at least the question of Jedi wisdom is forgotten.

Kiineq chuckles quietly at his Padawan's enthusiasm.
"Just don't crash it" he says, winking at the boy.
The Master has every intent of letting Shep perform the landing, but he is ready to interfere, should anything go amiss.

"Right." Shep mumbles with out looking at his Master. "You gonna handle communications?" He asks, while starting to ease the ship down towards the atmosphere.

"Yes" Kiineq replies, opening a line to Corellia's air traffic control.
A short while later, they have been cleared for landing.
