[Kad Jeba'ya]

Leaning back and with his arms folded, Kad Jeba’ya observes the mucky surroundings from the darkness of his booth. An unpleasant smell of spilled beverages and sweaty clothes haunts the air of the low-level tavern in which he’s enjoying a late night drink. Forsaken and dilapidated, this entire sector of Coruscant has been overrun by duraslugs and other kinds of vermin. It is not a place for the civilized people living kilometres above.
The tavern itself rivals the sector when it comes to miserable places. The floor is sticky and the air is damp. The patrons are a mix of lowlifes and filth, all with an appetite for the indiscriminating brawls that take place ever so often.

Taking a sip of his mug, Kad smiles darkly as he reminds himself of why this place is worth anything at all. Certainly he can find a place some 50 levels above him but this specific cesspit is the only place that serves mandalorian ale. The only place that offers the delicious liquor strong enough to turn the insides out on a hundred different species, the brew that can keep you warm even if you are buried to your chest in snow.
It’s not as back home though, but it’s good enough for him.

Downing another mouthful, Kad places the mug back on the small table in front of him. He is wearing his body armour, of course. The black suit does not only protect him but the environmental unit in it keeps the temperature on a pleasant level. His helmet is placed on the table and his sword and blaster is tightly fastened to his belt.

A man clad in a dark jumpsuit enters the tavern. He wears his long, blood red hair in a braid down his back, and looks around a few seconds, before heading towards the table that Kad occupies. He certainly does not look like he belongs here, nor does he look like he'd ever want to sit down here. However, he does appear to be quite interested in Kad

"Are you Kad?"

[Kad Jeba'ya]

Kad watches as the pale figure approaches his table. He can almost immediately tell that this man is used to higher standards and Kad is willing to put a whole barrel of ale on this man being someone who calls the shots somewhere.
As the stranger speaks, Kad hesitates for a moment before answering.

“Depends on who’s asking.”

"Someone who needs to Jedi eliminated" He stares pointedly at Kad

"So, are you Kad?"

[Kad Jeba'ya]

Kad smiles with a hint a satisfaction. Jedi are always a real challenge and underestimating them will quickly make you a very dead man. But with the risk comes the promise of great rewards. Besides, who would miss out on a chance to kill some of the righteous, so called protectors of the Republic?

“That I am.”

"Excellent" Varuun smiles smugly

"You see, I've been told two jedi have been looking some of my affairs on Corellia. And that annoys me greatly. However, I am needed elsewhere, and will not have time to deal with them now. You think you can handle this? It's a master and his padawan"

[Kad Jeba'ya]

Kad retrieves the mug from the table and takes a long swig. He is yet to face a master but the padawan should be an easy prey. Nonetheless, it could turn out to be one hell of a fight.

“How much?”

Varuun's tentacles emerges from their sockets

"70.000 in total"

[Kad Jeba'ya]

An Anzat? He knew from the beginning that there had been something about this stranger. Powerful warriors and revered assassins made legendary from the tales used to scare kids. Kad has always found their practice of draining their victims’ life force disgusting. However, Kad has a strict policy of not asking too many question and credits are credits, no matter where they come from.
Taking a small datachip from his belt, he casually slides it across the table.

“Half of it transferred to that account, along with the details of the job.”

"consider it done" Varuun snatches the datachip from the table

"you'll have it by tomorrow"

[Kad Jeba'ya]

Kad downs the last of the strong liquor and places the now empty mug on the table.

"Then we have reached an agreement."

[Varuun Carro]

"Great" Varuun nods once and straightens, looking down at Kad

"I shall look forward to seeing it carried out"

[Kad Jeba'ya]

Kad rises from the booth and flips a credit-chip to the droid coming to clean the table. His body feels warm from the ale and a slight hint of sleepiness emerges.

“Guess I have a mission to prepare for” he notes, most of all to himself.

He takes the helmet from the table and places it on his head. The hermetical seal quickly shuts the surrounding world out, though the terrible smell of the tavern remains. He gives the Anzat a quick nod and replies in a now low and metallic voice:

“We shall meet again soon.”

With that, he leaves the bar, immediately heading back to his ship to check his gear, and perhaps catch a little sleep.

Varuun nods to himself, as Kad leaves. He had found the right man for the job
