Post by Fay on Mar 3, 2009 22:44:07 GMT 1
Name: Fay (no family – no last name)
Race: Human, female
Age: about 21/22 years old. She doesn’t know for sure, as she had never known her birthday
Profession: Pickpocket trickster and flute player
Hair: Long hazel brown hair that goes halfway down her back. Is often sat in a lose pony tail with two long locks on each side of her face
Languages: Galactic Basic. However she mostly manages to communicate in other creative ways than words. And as she always says: music speaks for itself
Eye colour: Deep brown
Height: 1.76
Weight: 67 kg
Appearance:
Fay’s body is slender and very useable for acrobatic stunts and quick escapes, but not very suitable for any fighting at all. Her face is round and soft shaped and enabled in making a great number of various grins
Fay tends to change some parts of her clothing from the idea of ‘hey, that’s some nice stuff that guy’s got, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if I just… take it from him… without him knowing) But there are a few things that she’s always wearing: a dark brow half-length jacket with enough inside pockets to store all of her necessary belonging (being four flutes of various sizes, a small amount of credits should it be a very lucky day, and a lot of assorted crap that Fay herself describes as ‘stuff you never know if could come in handy’)
And then her very beloved wide shaded hat. She uses it to hide her face in the masses and flicker in great gestures while speaking to an audience. And of cause to collect earning in.
She uses light footwear: good for quick escapes and acrobatic moves, bad for kicking and making loud sounds.
Above her hips Fay has a belt containing several bags in various sizes. Unlike most of the people in the galaxy there’s no blaster or any other kind of weapon in her belt. Well, yes her slender knife is there, but considered that it is rather used for cutting fruit, but might be more appropriate to call it an eating device.
Fay is able to use a blaster, but it would be a big fat lie to call her a gun master. She prefers to make a quick run, rather than be involved in a fight.
Personality
Fay’s a very outgoing and charismatic girl and not at all tricky to get a smile from. She has a very bright mind and finds it difficult to worry for too long - if worry at all. A real optimist. She doesn’t think so deeply about things and tries not to make them very complex. In that association she’s not very good at seeing consequences either, and has a bad habit to exclaim somewhat inappropriate things, not realizing it before the point where she’s hunted by an angry mob.
Her mind works as an everlasting machine of imaginative ideas. Most of them are insane but amazingly useful in pressed situations. She tends to speak a lot if allowed, though rambling might be a more exact description. When not making noise by talking, Fay draws one of her flutes and make up a melody for the occasion. She’s quite good at playing and it’s obvious that she loves the music.
Background
At some point in the very early childhood, Fay was placed in an orphanage at Nar Shaddaa where she grew up, not having any clue who her parents was. She was given her name Fay by one of the grownups who thought there was something fairy-like about the way she ran around with an ignorant smile all over her face, as well as the way she entertained herself with small playing melodies on her flute.
She was an uneasy child who seemed eager to give the adults the joy of using the whole day, either repair whatever she had broken, or find her new private food store behind a wall. Not to speak of all the stuff she stole from everyone when she was able to.
Until the age of ca 10/11 Fay didn’t really have any good friends. The other children thought her alright but a bit weird. She was more bounded to her flue than any person.
But then a day a new kid came to the orphanage. She was about the same age as Fay and not many days went by before the two of them got along very well, and soon Fay had the first friend in her life. And more. Satchel (as the other girl was called) became a family that Fay had never had. Where Fay for instance lacked planning and overview, Satchel had a brilliant mind for such, and by compensate each other they suddenly found themselves a very good team.
After a year or so, the two girls decided that the orphanage wasn’t big enough for them, and ran away together.
In the world of Nar Shaddaa they started a life of stealing, cheating and bluffing to earn their pay for the day. As keen they were on cheating everyone else, they were always faithful and loyal to each other.
It was a hectic but exiting life that fitted Fay perfectly. Through her and Satchel’s small adventures, Fay collected several things, each with their own little story. For instance she got her hat from an episode where she and Satchel (as many times before) had to hide. Something with a gangster who apparently couldn’t see the funny part in being cheated in g game of pazaark. In the end the two girls had to get away in a hurry, and as soon Fay saw the chance appears, filched the first and biggest headgear from a crowd and hid herself under the shadow from the big hat. Afterwards she came to like it, and decided to keep it.
But though life was great and exiting, it was not without prize. At some point, some began to recognize the two girls as the ones who had cheated them, and one day Fay and Satchel suddenly had a prize on their head. Not that such a silly detail was going to stop them. They carried on unbridled. Never the less a bounty hunter one day succeeded in capture Satchel for a Hutt boss.
Standing alone for the first time in many years, Fay quickly decided that she was not going to leave Satchel’ fate in the hands of the fat hutt.
Disguised as a jawa (in a brief hope that no one would suspect ANYONE to be stupid enough to disguise themselves as a jawa) she managed to enter the headquarters of the gangster boss under the pretext of selling some kind of drugs (Fay didn’t quite master the tongue of the jawas).
With some luck, Fay managed to locate Satchel in jail and free her. Unfortunately this was also the point where some began to wonder how the jawa all by sudden had grown human legs. It was time for a plan of escape, and since Fay hadn’t prepared one herself they had to improvise one in the situation.
There is two major points mention about this episode: 1) Fay and Satchel managed to escape. 2) Half of the Hutt’s palace burned down to the grown along with a lot of valuable stuff that the hutt treasured highly.
As soon as Fay and Satchel reached some kind of safe place they decided that Nar Shaddaa wasn’t perhaps the safest place for them to be in the galaxy. Satchel thought that it would be a good idea to get away from the planet, and leave for Coruscant.
As none of them were able to handle a spaceship, they made themselves bind passengers on a smugglers vessel that was headed for Coruscant.
They have been here only for a few days now, but Fay is sure they will get a lot of fun.
