Name: Mijana Jeta
Age: 45 standard years
Height: 170 cm
Race: Human female
Haircolour: Cull black
Eyecolour: Dark blue
Homeworld: Alderaan
Profession: Holonet news reporter
Appearence:
Mijana likes to be dressed in pure black and white colours; she enjoys the kind of thinking, that people see the galaxy as being in black and white. She even carries around a white Datapad with her everywhere, just to be sure she's able to write everything down, when she gets an idea for a new story.
She's mostly seen wearing a black dress, with white, highheeled boots and a white kind of ”trenchcoat” looking jacket.
Her hair is kept in a short style, but in a glamorous curly like shape.
She has a pointy nose and chin and a scary thin, pale face. However, she likes to wear highred lipstick and nailpolish.
Personality:
Mijana is a person who knows how to find the right friends in the right spots. But she's also a person who has enemies, but has no problems with that fact. She's more or less a snob. She doesn't mind getting her hands dirty, but she looks down upon those that are ”below” her in the latter of society. She speaks with a ”want to be important” kind of voice, which only makes it more obvious that she doesn't care what others think about her or her writings.
Early on, she made herself known for her feelings and thoughts towards the idea of the Jedi Order. She feels, that the Force is some magicians humbug, and that the Jedi's only using it as an excuse to keep informations to themselves. She's witnessed how some jedi has handled things, without being impressed by it.
Mijana has made it her life's quest to make the learnings of the Force become accessible to all, and not just those that some crazy wizards think are right for it. She has always wondered how they can even take small children away from their families at such young ages, without letting the families be able to have contact with them.
When she wants to make herself noticed, she makes small, loud noises, and gets angry or irritated quite easily, if things doesn't go as she wants them to and lets people know when she's not happy with the situation, and can get really unpleasant.
About the politics, she believe that as long as panic hasn't spread, then there's nothing to worry about.
Background:
Mijana was born into a wealthy family and lived in a small village outside Alderaa. She was the popular girl, who got all the attention from her classmates, highest grades and she was the jewel in her father's eyes.
She grew up in a big family as the oldest, but she was most close to her oldest brother, who, even though he loved spending time with his sister, he was jealous, because she got all the attention, from her parents as well as people from their school.
Her life changed, when she was twelve. That day had been exciting, because a Jedi had shown up in their vilage. This Jedi, to the joy of some of the younger children, showed some tricks to the viewers and even Mijana was a little impressed by it, but not in awe like the rest of the vilage. When the Jedi left the plaza, where he'd held his little show. Mijana stayed a little but returned home afterwards, only to find that the Jedi, she'd seen less than an hour earlier on the plaza, sitting in the living room of her home, talking to her parents. A little curious to know, why this Jedi had sought out her house exactly, she eavesdropped on the conversation. To her horror, they were talking about her baby brother, who, according to this Jedi, had potential to become a Jedi, and he wanted to take the baby with him. She got frustrated and and tried to persuade her parents not to give up their son, but they wouldn't listen let the Jedi take their son with him. Mijana went as far as contacting the temple on Coruscant, trying to bribe them into bringing her brother home, with no luck.
After that, she didn't care about her family. She was angry with them and she hated the Jedi. She early on decided, that she would take the fights she could against the Jedi on every opportunity, without going throug the political system. When she was sixteen, she decided to go into journalism, because that was the only way she could think of, that would bring the word out on the negative sides of the Jedi, and not just those heroic tales, you always could read about in history books.
After she finished primary school, she attended the University of Alderaa and after that, she couldn't get away from Alderaan fast enough. She took a job as a freelance writer to the holonetnews report, where she quite early on, became known for her oppinions. She has seemed to always be near a place where Jedi has been at the scene and not even saying one good word about them. Even once where she witnessed a hostage situation, where a Jedi came to negotiate. She witnessed this Jedi doing some ”swordwork” with her lasersword, but the mission didn't go as well, as first intended, and to her delight, Mijana reported on every little detail, that this Jedi did wrong, not finding it important enough, to tell, that the Jedi did succeed to rescue the hostages in the end.
A few years previously, she received a permanent position as a reporter for the Holonet news, but she didn't settle down to one place at a time for too long, until the rumours of the Jandoon crisis came out in the opening. She rented a small apartment on Coruscant and has remained there since.
Since the news on the problems with Jandoon has come out in the open, Mijana has spend most of her time in the upper and lower levels of Coruscant, trying to dig some dirt up on the Jedi. With little luck so far. She has also fought for getting access to the Jedi Temple and their archives, wanting to find the secrets behind ”the Force”. So far with no luck.
