Name: Yuraya Linya
Gender: Female
Species: Mirialan
Age: 24
Height: 175
Weight: 60 kg
Hair color: Pitch black
Skin color: Olive
Eye color: Vivid blue
Home world: Mirial
Languages: Mirialan, Basic
Weapons: Twin blasters carried in holsters on her hips, a throwing knife in a sheath on her right thigh and a lightsaber in her belt.
Appearance: Yuraya is a young Mirialan. She is slender but with distinctive feminine curves. Her face is marked in traditional Mirial tattoos, with three beside each eye, one between the eyebrows and four from her lower lip to the chin. Her lips are the same dark purple, almost black color as her tattoos.
Her eyes are rather large and a very bright blue.
Yuraya is often dressed in a tight fitting dark blue tank-top underneath a loose robe which is perfect for hiding things in. She also wears slim, dark trousers and a pair of black boots with an intricate design on. Her belt is dark brown leather, a wider inner belt with a smaller outer belt. It is the only thing (apart from her lightsaber) she has kept from her Jedi days.
Her hair is neither long nor short, but somewhere in between and is normally worn in a casual hairdo that is kinda all over the place, but still under control.
Personality: Yuraya is very open with her opinions and she doesn't hesitate to state them, even when it might have been best to just keep silent. That habit has gotten her into trouble on more than one occasion. Even though she is very loud spoken about her beliefs and opinions about the galaxy, it's hard to get to know her. She might give you bits and pieces of info about herself, but in her own time. If you try to push her, she will shut up like an oyster. She is the type that will bond with a few, but the bonds she does make will be strong and very hard to break. Yuraya will go to almost any length to help friends and to equal lengths to fight and destroy her enemies.
She has very little patience and can be rather short-tempered. That, combined with her stubbornness makes for some quite violent outburst both verbally and physically from time to time.
Yuraya has a very dry humor, that is displayed occasionally, her friends often being on the receiving end of her pranks.
Background: Born on Mirial, Yuraya was given to the Jedi with the strict instructions that her future Master be Mirialan as is traditional. She grew up in the Temple on Coruscant but life in the Temple was not always fun. Yuraya was very impatient as a child and her hot temper often put her at odds with the Masters. She would often spend long hours in meditation with a Master, in an attempt to make her more patient but it had quite the opposite effect on the Mirialan. One of Yuraya's favorite spare time activities included roaming around the Temple after nightfall, exploring all the places she wasn't supposed to go.
Because of her personality a lot of the Mirialan Masters were reluctant to take her on as their Padawan. Many of them felt she was too much of a rouge to become a Jedi. However one Master saw it as a challenge to make a knight out of the wild youngling.
During her apprenticeship Yuraya developed a taste for combat and took great pride in defeating her adversaries in battle. Even though her skills with a lightsaber were honed to almost perfection, she was not satisfied and did not believe that one should rely entirely on just one weapon. She started practicing with various blasters whenever she could, making herself familiar with the rather more long ranged weapons. At the time she was not entirely sure that her Master would approve of it, so she did it in secret, sneaking out whenever she could to practice.
Yuraya's impatience didn't diminish over the years and she found it more and more difficult to follow her Master on their missions to help people. Frankly, Yuraya felt it was a waste of time. If those pathetic lifeforms couldn't work things out themselves, they didn't deserve her attention.
More and more she began to voice her concerns about the Jedi ways, at first just a comment here and there but later on it became increasingly frequent.
Her Master tried to reason with her, telling her in that typical Jedi way how all things should be treated with respect and so forth.
Yuraya didn't feel that way. Some were strong and others weak. Naturally the strong should rule over the weak, at least in her opinion.
One day Yuraya had had enough of her Master's endless speeches about goodness and they ended up yelling at each other, neither one wanting to give in. It turned pretty nasty when Yuraya threw the knife she was carrying at her Master, the knife ending up in the Mirialan's left leg. After that Yuraya turned her back on not only her Master, but the entire Order.
Finally she was free.
Stealing the ship she and her now former Master had arrived in, she set a course for Jandoon, intending to seek out those called the 'Fallen Jedi'.
