Name: Sinn'da
Race: Rutian twi'lek
Age: 19 years
Home planet: Ryloth
Profession: Jedi padawan
Skín colour: Bright blue
Eye colour: Grey/yellow
Height: 168 cm
Weight: 62 kg
Languages: Basic, ryl, lekku and some huttese
Appearance:
Sinn'da's skin is a bright blue colour, and her greyish yellow eyes usually sparkle with laughter and a twinkle of mischievousness. She is of fairly normal height, and slender build as many other women of her race, but under the smooth blue skin, strong muscles form themselves around her bones. She has an oval face, sharp nose and a strong jawline.
Her lekku are hanging freely down her back, but she usually has a scarf or thin headband wound around her forehead.
She wears traditional jedi tunics, often in a dark tone with lighter pants, and a dark leather sash around her waist. She has a few robes in dark colous, but only rarely uses them when not traveling.
Personality:
Since she was accepted into the Jedi Order, Sinn'da has showed herself as a person of many feelings and much temper. She has always been stubborn, and often does things her way, rather than following orders given by the older Jedi Masters. She does this not out of protest or a wish to disobey, but rather because she wants to do what is the right thing. Problem is, she is not always right, and does not always agree with her teachers, which brings her into a lot of trouble.
As she became a teenager, her emotions became even harder to control. She is always fighting her emotive nature, trying her best to make her Master proud of her. Sinn'da wishes for nothing more than to be a good Jedi, but all to often her curiosity and temper gets the best of her.
Background:
Sinn'da was born on Ryloth, but found at a very young age by a young Jedi, Njiara Rina, and brought to the council on Coruscant. She was accepted for training, and studied with the other younglings, until she was old enough to be a padawan. The little twi'lek girl was already showing signs of a rebellious nature, and the council chose a Master for her: the very same Jedi who had found her on Ryloth. Master Rina, being as impulsive and stubborn as the young padawan, was the perfect match for her, as their close relationship could hopefully remind them both not to lose their temper. And the council was right. Both Master and padawan grew with each others presence, and though there was little hope any of them would ever be in complete control of their emotions, none of them seemed in danger of swaying towards the Dark Side, as the council had earlier feared.
Sinn'da and Master Rina became close. Normally it would have been more of a mother and daughter-relationship, but thew were rather like sisters, often disagreeing and sometimes even arguing, but always with a friendly warmth between them.
With Master Rina being both a healer and skilled duelist, Sinn'da had much to live up to in her Master, and she chose to start with the lightsaber. She had tried her skills at healing, but it simply did not come to her. Frustrated she turned to her Master for help, and was advised to leave it be. The art of healing came naturally to some, and not at all to others, as it is with all other aspects of the force. So Sinn'da picked up the saber and started training, determined to exceed her Master at this point in stead. This was also in her mind, when she constructed her own lightsaber. She had often seen Master Rina train with her two violet blades, a saber in each hand, moving gracefully and sometimes too fast for the eye to follow her movements. What would be cooler than her Master's dual sabers? She studied the archives for a long time, before finally deciding that a double bladed lightsaber was what she wanted. With this decision came not only the much work it would take to construct such an exotic weapon, but also endless hours of training to just learn to control it, and actually use it without herself being injured.
The result was an elegant, yellowbladed saber, wielded with much precision and enthusiasm by the young Sinn'da, and an impressed Njiara Rina. Sinn'da could not have been happier at that moment, where she first introduced her new ligthsaber to her Master in a training duel. Rina was happy for her padawan, but she still remembered the way the Jedi Council had disagreed when she had chosen her dual sabers so many years ago. It was an aggressive and inappropriate style for a Jedi, but she had finally been allowed. Now Rina defended her padawan with the same words, that her Master had defended her with: It is an aggressive and dangerous style, yes, but if Sinn'da could learn to control it, she would have learned much about herself. What doesn't break you, makes you stronger, and Sinn'da could use such a test. The Council was still not happy, but they finally agreed. And so began the long training for Sinn'da to not only control her difficult weapon, but also to overcome and defeat the pride and aggression such a weapon could easily bring forth in her.
Years passed, and Master and Padawan took on mission after mission. They worked perfectly together, completing each other, and thinking as if they shared each other's thoughts.
One day, though, the young twi'lek's Master was send on a mission alone. Sinn'da would stay on Coruscant to study, while Master Rina looked into some problems with a crime lord on Tatooine.
Only words of her death came back.
Special abilities:
Sinn'da is a fairly skilled padawan, but she'll never be the best in her class. She has some skills as a mechanic, but nothing more than most common people with an interest in wires and circuits. She is stubborn, and if she decides to do something, she'll often see it through. Though it may take her her some time to figure out just how.
She has trained many forms of combat with Master Rina or some of the other students, armed as well as unarmed, and she is no bad pilot.
She is a quick thinker. She is just not always right.
