As Kirok and Naitia leave the starport and enter the streets of Bilbousa, the capital of Nal Hutta, it has started to rain.
"So, lemme know what makes more sense than using his social secutiry number to track him down?" Kirok asks. "We can't really rely too much on mindtricks here... on... Nal... Hutta."

Naitia steps out of the starport alongside Jaymz, and has to calm herself with the Force, not to get irritated.
"I know that. It seemed more sensible, than starting to stun the woman at the desk or what else you had in mind. I use my brain, even though you may not think it."
Naitia thinks for a bid before she answers. "Well, it would take weeks by going around and asking people. But now we have his socia security number, without being too illegal, we could check him out in the databanks and see if it's listed where he lives."

"Okay, okay" Kirok says, yielding, as if he somehow sensed her irritation. "I didn't plan to stun her, though, or anything like that." He takes a look around. "No databanks here, but I'm sure we can find one near the city hall.

Naitia nodds. "It's worth looking there. Lead the way."

"It's this way" he says, stretching his arm out. "Just follow me".
"So," he suddenly asks. "How's life in the happy temple these days?"

"Oh, well," Naitia sighs as they begin to walk. "As usual. Masters and their Padawans are sent off on their missions, while the rest dwells on what's going on with this crisis the Republic is facing. Which is actually why I am here. The Council needs Derek's help on that matter."

"Ah, I see" he says with a sly smile. "Seems the Republic is always in some kind of crisis they need you guys' help with. What is it this time? All those pirates?"

"Well, the Jedi's already involved in it. Have you ever heard of Jandoon?"
Naitia looks at him with a frown. If he was still part of the Republic, he should know about that. Unless he wasn't that much informed, when he was running around on a planet like Nal Hutta.

"Sure Ive heard of it. I've never been there though... not yet at least. But I don't update myself on Jedi affairs that often", Kirok says. "So I don't know to which extent you guys are involved in it."

"Pretty much, I'd say. There's a lot of rumours going on, about the Fallen Jedi, who has had something to do, with what happenned there."
Naitia sighs and shakes her head. "I don't know that much about it myself. Only that we've tried to make contact, by sending people in, but it didn't go that well."

"Sounds like serious business" Kirok concedes. Frowning a bit, he then asks "Fallen Jedi? How? Like darksiders or just ex-Jedi who quit the Order?", while musing himself with the thought that he, technically, is a kind of fallen Jedi too.

"I don't know. Both maybe. But they haven't exactly been friendly to those who were sent to talk to them. Maybe they have gone Dark. The council hopes to find out more, of course. But it is not only a situation that makes an impact on the Order. The whole Republic as well."

"So according to the rumors, the Fallen Jedi are somehow involved in this pirate business?" Kirok asks, feeling a bit stupid not having updated himself. "I've had a couple of run-ins with those pirates recently, but never sensed... err.... found anything Jedi-ish about them."

Naitia shrugs. "It's not that clear as to, what's right or wrong, about those rumours going on about Jandoon. The information that we do have, did not come easily. We don't even know which of those Jedi who has left the Order, who has joined the Fallen on Jandoon. But we suspect that, if there's pirates involved, then they probably are in contact with them."

Kirok stops abruptly, almost skidding in the muddy street. "Lemme get this straight. There's a cult of possible dakrsiders on Jandoon, whose members are all former Jedi. And these guys have teamed up with those Space Snails or Space Bugs or whatever those pirates are called?"

Naitia stops in her tracks as well, when he does and looks at him. How much did he know exactly?
"Possibly, yes." She looks at him questioningly. "I can see this is all news to you."

Kirok sighs and then confirms that it is all news to him "Yeah, well, I know of the pirates, having had some brush-ins with them, and there are always rumors about rogue Jedi. I didn't see the connection though. And I haven't really updated myself enough on Jedi affairs to - or paid attention - to figure out the Fallen Jedi business."
Looking concerned, Kirok mentally curses the Force for having a tendency to bring out the worst in people. He sighs once more and starts to walk again. "Just around the corner" he mumbled, obviously worried about something.

Naitia nodds understanding as they start to walk again.
"How long have you been away from the temple?"

"Not long enough", he says in an ironic tone of voice, and then decides to elaborate. "Well, some ten or eleven years, I'd reckon. I was apprenticed to Master Wrymew. Nice old man, really, if a bit stuck in his ways like all the old masters seemed to be."

"I see." Naitia listens interested to his words.
"So, you didn't finish your apprenticeship? It's just it sounds a little like it."

Kirok shook his head, causing the rain drops to fall from his nose in a spiraling pattern. "Nope, I split a couple of months before my apprenticeship was complete. Is Wrymew still around"

Thinking a bid about his question, she doesn't recognize the name. But she didn't know the name of all the Masters at the temple, so ...
"Maybe. I don't recall talking to anybody by that name. But that's because I only finished my training just a few months ago, and before that I spend a lot of time away from the temple."

"Maybe he's dead" Kirok mumbles. "Would be a shame though".
He pauses a bit. "Time away from the temple is so much nicer isn't it? There are no constraints no Masters to tell you what to do. I certainly don't miss being in the Jedi Order. I miss some of the people there, but not the Order itself."

Naitia shrugs. "Sometimes, maybe. It's good to get out of the temple once in a while, but it's also nice to something good for the citizens in the Republic."
She smiles a bid. "But you of course have had the time to get used to not being tied by the strings the Council gives us." Again she shrugs. "I don't see a life completely away from the temple, to be honest."

"Neither did I for some time," Kirok informs her. "But eventually I ended up not seeing a life in the temple. And I've done my fair share to help out the citizens in the Republic after I left the Order. Probably more than when I was part of the Order."

Naitia nodds understanding. "Well, you were still a Padawan when you left. Most of the assignments are handed to the Knights or Masters. It changes when you become a Knight you know!" She smiles again, wondering for a bid how far there is for the Databank.

"Here we are" Kirok says, pointing at a grandiose building. "The city hall". He takes a look around, and exclaims "And lo and behold, there's a public databank", pointing at a databank opposite the building. "Let's go".

She follows him towards the building.

"Okay," Kirok says as they reach the terminal. "Let's see if we can learn anything about our little friend."
Swiftly, he inserts the data spike into the terminal, attaches an empty datapad at the other end and types in the social security code, diverting whatever information shows up onto the datapad. After a minute or so, he removes the datapad and the spike, stuffing it all into his pockets. "Okay, let's get out of here" he says. "Let's find a quiet place and se what I've downloaded, eh."

Naitia looks at him with a lifted eyebrow but is glad that it doesn't take too long for it to download.
"Any suggestions to where we go?" Naitia follows him back out the door looking with a short sideglanse at the datapad.
