Syll'kann walks down the hall onboard the Chu'unthor, his path of walking set for the infirmery. He doesn't know for sure that Ladda will be there.... - or wait. He knows that she'll be there.
He walks (or limps) through the door to the ship's infirmery and spots a few Med-droids. Then he looks for the light violet Twi'lek doctor.

Ladda washes her hands after having cleaned some instruments, and dries her hands before walking towards the doors of the hospital wing. She smiles warmly at the first glimpse of the limping Jedi Master.
"Syll'kann. Right on time. As always, my dear."

Syll'kann lightens up in a warm smile, when he discovers the Twi'lek Doctor. In his midnight blue eyes, she hasn't changed a day... or perhaps she has just gotten more...
Stop it.
"I wouldn't risk to anger you, my dear Ladda." He extends his hand towards her.

Ladda's smile broadens as she takes his sinewy hand. "Am I that frightening?" She looks at him for a short moment as if wanting to say something more, but decides to not do it after all. She gestures him towards an examination coutch. "Sit down, you are straining your knee."

"Thank you." Syll'kann limps to the couch and sits down. Normally he refuses to sit down, because of his knee, but this is a medical check - and besides, Ladda would never allow him to remain standing. "No, dear Ladda, you're not frightening. Not very often, that is..." He smiles silently. "But you have my greatest respect for what I know, you're capable off."

Ladda walks past him, heading for a stool for him to place his leg on while she examinates his knee. She looks at him over her shoulder as he speaks, but answers only with a smile. She places the stool in front of him. "Now, let me see that knee."

Syll'kann makes a face, as he lifts up his legs and rests it on the stool in front of him. He should have come to Ladda with this earlier, he knows that. He removes his boot and carefully folds up the legs on his trousers. The knee itself doesn't look so bad, covered by old scar tissue. But the damage beneath the skin is considerable. Now, over 20 years after, he can still feel the light saber cutting into his leg.

Ladda takes another stool and places herself so she can examine Syll'kann's wounded knee. Her thin fingers gently touches the grim scars around the knee cap, but it doesn't seem to be swollen. She then takes a better grip around his leg, forcing him slowly to stretch it, while she tilts his foot upwards, watching his reaction. "Tell me when it begins to hurt."

Syll'kann nods slowly, looking into her eyes for a brief moment, before he pay all his attention to his knee. He can almost strectch out his leg. Almost. Then he gasps and grits his teeth. "Now it hurts."
A lot. But that little detail he leaves out.

"Hm." Ladda frowns slightly, giving the leg a thoughtfull glance. She then places a thumb over a sinew, pressing gently. "Does this hurt?" She continues pressing different spots on his leg, waiting each time for him to react.

Syll'kann holds a stoneface through her examination. Except for a little frown on his high brow. "It... hurts inside the knee. Behind it. Beneath it... I don't know..." He shakes his head. "Maybe you should just chop off my leg."

Ladda just sighs, her lekku making a few stubborn sweeps. "And put you in a hover chair? Yes, splendid idea. Or you could begin walking with a stick, as I told you long ago."

"I know, you did...." Syll'kann nods slowly. "And you have my apologies for not listening to your advice back then. I was young and stubborn." He shruggs. "I'm still stubborn."

"-which I told you too." She looks up at him, but despite of her accusing tone, her amber eyes sparkle with warm friendliness.
Ladda gets to her feet, walking over to one of the many cupboards. A low clinking of glass flasks can be heard, before she returns with a syringe. "Now, I'm going to give you an few injections into the muscles in your knee. It makes them relax, and it should make the pain go away for a time. You have simply strained your knee, and with that old injury, I can understand why you say you can barely walk." She shakes her head, looking at him despondently. "If you keep on doing that, you will end up not being able to bend your knee at all."

Syll'kann sighs deeply. "I know, Ladda, I know... I try not to strain it at all, but it's not that simple."

"'not that simple'?" She gently stings his knee with the needle. "Syll'kann, dear friend, have you run out of good excuses?"

Syll'kann laughs gently. "I don't use excuses, Ladda. Believe me, I know that I've been both thickheaded and stupid..." He cuts off himself and looks at her, tilting his head. "Correct me, if I'm wrong, but didn't you call me that twenty years ago??"

"I might had," She cleans another spot of the storm colored skin on Syl'kann's knee, before stinging him again. "I don't remember any reason for me not to call you something like that." Withdrawing the needle from his knee, Ladda looks up at the tall twi'lek. Her face is calm and gentle as always, but there is a more sincere warmth in her eyes that few has ever seen. "You were both thickheaded and stupid... In a way..."

She receives a smile in return. its warmth reflected in Syll'kann's midnight blue eyes. "Thank the Force, I've grown up..." Syll'kann reaches out and takes her slender hand in his own, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Yes..." She doesn't remove her hand from his. "Thank the Force for that..." A short moment passes. Then one more... Finally Ladda gets to her feet, letting go of Syll'kann's hand to go over and dispose of the used syringe properly. What happened back then when they first met, would not have if Syll'kann had been closer to the Force. He is older now, an more in control of himself. He is a Jedi. Ladda is not sure if she realy agrees with her logic, that it is all for the best.

Syll'kann's midnight blue eyes follows Ladda. Then he rolls down his trousers again and puts his boot back on. Like Ladda, he's thinking off what happened twenty years ago between them. He hasn't forgotten. After all these years he hasn't forgotten. But it is all in the past.

Ladda returns a moment later, sending her patient a quick smile. "Well, better let your knee rest a bit before I let you out on your own again. How about a cup of tea? I need some for my migraine anyways."

"I would like that very much, dear Ladda." Syll'kann smiles friendly at her. "It's been a while, since we've had any tea together."

Ladda nods shortly. "Stay here, I'll bring you a cup. And don't try to stand, the muscles in your knee are numb." Then she disappears.

Syll'kann looks after her, as she disappears. No, he hasn't forgotten anything...
His right hand clenches, but he doesn't let any of his emotions show on his face. It is not appropriate.

A few minutes later, the thin doctor returns to her patient, a steaming cup of hot tea in each hand. She smiles and hands him one of them, before placing herself on the stool again.
"So, apart from your knee, how are things these days?"

"Things are..." Syll'kann shruggs, taking the tea cup with a warm smile. "Things are fine. The Archives are full of knowledge, and I've not yet managed to fall asleep, coverede by holocases. But I take it that you've heard some of the rumors??"

"About Jandoon?" Ladda frowns, one of her lekku wrapping itself around her neck for a little warmth. "Rumors spread quickly, but it's hard to tell what's true and what's not."

Ladda shakes her head, a sign that she really doesn't know what to think of the hings she has heard. "I don't know. Hell breaking loose, basically. Something about fallen Jedi beginning to take over the galaxy, people disappearing, deaths..."
