Teal grabs the ham with his sharp teeth, without harming the Padawan's fingers of course, and eats it quite fast.
Davvi sits down beside her wolf and Shep. "You little greedy thing..." She smiles and pads the wolf on the head. Then she looks at Master Tiran. "So, where do you want me to start, Master Jedi?"

Kiineq meets her eyes levelly. "Why don't you start at the beginning, Miss Zynnar. That is usually the most uncomplicated place to start." There is no hint of mockery in his tone at all. He sends her an encouraging smile.

Shep grins happily at Teal, as the wolf takes the ham. He tastes his tea before adding another spoon full of sugar to his tea.

"All right." Davvi smiles at the Jedi Master. "Well, I came home late from the market about a week ago...? I unlocked my front door and went into the house, where I lighted the fireplace. And then he just stood there. In my living room."
Teal rests his head on Shep's knee, growling happily by having found a new friend.

Kiineq keeps quiet, letting the woman tell the story in her own pace.
It seems that his entire focus is on her, but a part of his mind is still aware of both his surroundings and his Padawan.

Shep pads Teal and tastes his tea again, this time finding it as close to okay as it is going to get when sitting at a table with his Master.
He studies Davvi as she tells her story, staying quiet like Kiineq.

"He didn't seem like a really evil person to begin with." Davvi shrugs. "Though I do consider that breaking a window is quite rude. But he threatened to kill Teal, if I threw him out of the house. So I decided to be polite and gave him a drink. I didn't think much of him - he seemed to like the sound of his voice - until he told me that he was going to take my speeder."

Kiineq nods. "It seems like a wise choice."
He looks intently at Davvi. "Your speeder?"

Shep idly strokes Teal's head as he listens to Davvi's story.
"He didn't threaten you directly?" He asks, finding it odd that this guy would have only threatened Teal.

Davvi nods. "Yes. My speeder. He wanted to steal it to get to Coronet."
As Shep speaks, she looks at him and shakes her head. "No. He only threatened to kill Teal. As if he knew that I would never put Teal in danger. But I refused to let him take my speeder. He didn't like that."

Kiineq nods slowly.
He looks at his apprentice. "More often than not, it will be far more effective to threaten those a person love, than to threaten the person directly, Padawan." he explains.
He looks back at Davvi. "I can imagine."

"Yes, Master." Shep acknowledges. He falls silent, while pondering that little bit of wisdom, while he continues to rub Teals ears.

Teal decides to take advantage of the Padawan's attention and rests his head on Shep's knee to let him know that the rubbing is very much appreciated.
Davvi looks back at the Jedi Master. "It was only after I refused to let him take my speeder that he started threatening me. And then Teal attacked him."

When the dog rests its head on his knee, Shep studies the table a bit before reaching out to take a bit of ham and hands it to Teal, while smiling down at him.

Teal eats the piece of ham, enjoying to be spoil a little. It doesn't happen very often.
"He didn't do anything to stop Teal from attacking," Davvi continues. "But suddenly Teal was just hanging in midair, as if some invisible hand was holding him. And then I tried to hit him with my frying pan." She nods at the kitchen table, where the two halfs of the pan is lying. "He cut it in half with his light saber."

Kiineq looks sharply at her at the last comment. Nothing had been mentioned of a lightsaber in the briefing.
"Do you recall the color of the lightsaber" he asks.

Shep offers Teal another piece of ham. "Sounds like you've had some adventure. " He murmurs to the dog, while continuing to rub the dogs ears.
He turns the majority of his concentration back on the conversation at his Master's question, wondering if the Master has an idea of who this mystery attacker was.

"Yeah.." Davvi frowns a bit. "It was silver. Or white. Something like that. I got a close look at it, because he tried to cut me in half with it."
Teal growls happily and licks Shep's hand once, after eating the piece of ham.

The Jedi Master groans inwardly.
"Obviously he did not succeed." he says, with a reassuring smile at Davvi. He is careful not to let his feelings of the revelation show, though there's a distinct possibility that his apprentice will pick up on something.

Huh? Shep looks at his Master, wondering what the other is thinking. He considers asking, but decides that it probably is better to wait. In stead he continues rubbing Teals ears while he looks at Davvi to hear what more she has to tell them.

Teal closes his eyes, enjoying the attention from the Padawan. Right now Davvi can take all the time in the galaxy with her story - as long as the rubbing continues.
Davvi picks up her story again. "After he cut my pan in half, he grabbed me, and those... tentacles came out from his cheeks. I have never seen anything like it... It was needless to say that I was terrified. I don't know what he would've done to me, but Teal interrupted him by biting his leg. He released me, and I threw a pot of boiling water at his face, before I ran out of the house and to the stables."
She points out the window at the barn.

"You are fortunate that Teal was there to intervene." Kiineq says, feeling a growing admiration for the woman. What she has done is not a light feat.
"I will spare you the details of the Anzati's way of getting nourishment." he adds.

Shep looks at Davvi with respect, surviving that kind of encounter is not something done by anyone. He knows full well how Anzats feats and has no wish to ever have to fight one.
He keeps rubbing Teals ears with one hand and hands the dog another piece of ham with the other at the same time. "You seem to be a really brave one." He murmurs to the dog.

"He has been with me, ever since he was little," Davvi says to Shep, before she looks back at Kiineq.
"I was told that they suck your brain matter out," she answers. "That's information enough for me. But he told me that I wasn't even worth eating. That was after I had oversprayed him with a waterhose, because he slammed Teal into a pillar."

He is more and more impressed the more he hears of this story.

"I was chasing a trespasser of my property," Davvi says. "After releasing all the animals in the barn I tried hitting him with a shovel. He lifted me from the ground and threw me through the barn door. I managed not to get hurt by the animals by sending my pet bantha through the door. But I couldn't prevent him from stealing my speeder."
Teal eats another piece of ham, having decided that the young Padawan is a friend for life.

"Of course. Still, not many would have dared to stand up to someone like that. It is good that you did not get hurt." Kiineq says. "So, he stole your speeder and then left you alone?"

Shep stays silent, waiting for Davvi's answer to his Master's question. In the mean time he hands Teal yet another piece of ham while continuing to rub his ears.
