"I hear things," Syll'kann smiles silently, as he always does. "Or - I heard the both of you talk outside the Archives. And she hasn't talked to any of the other Masters, ever since she returned to the Temple."

Kiineq lifts an eyebrow and looks somewhat doubtful.
"I see"
He is not quite sure what to say.

Syll'kann shakes his head a bit, still smiling silently. "I guess that you'll have to ask her yourself, Master Tiran."

"I am not sure I want to" Kiineq confesses with a slight smile. "I find our conversations to be rather... trying, at times. She is a hard woman to reason with."

"Yes, she can be a bit irrational sometimes." Syll'kann admits. "She wasn't like that, when we were younger, I believe?"

"No, she wasn't" Kiineq says, his expression getting darker. "The Coeur I remember from that time is far from the one we know today."

"Yes..." Syll'kann nods. "It's like she hardened through the years. Especially after her first Padawan fell to the Dark Side."

"To loose a Padawan like that must be a hard blow." Kiineq says. "I can't imagine the pain it must have been to have lost two"

"Even though I haven't trained a Padawan myself, I can imagine the pain of loosing one." Syll'kann sighs. "Even two."
He falls silent for a moment, lost in his own thoughts. "Did anyone of us talk to her back then? About the fall of her Padawans?" Perhaps his questions are more directed to him than Kiineq.

"I am not sure how I would react if either of mine were, Force forbid it, to fall." Kiineq says with a shudder.
"I don't know. I recall talking to her briefly, but she cut me off."

"In order to protect herself?" Syll'kann asks, though he might already know the answer to that.

"Possibly" Kiineq answers. "But whether it was from grief or for fear of something else, I don't know."

"Who knows?" Syll'kann shakes his head. "Anger, remorse, pain, grief... Master Ismeth is a very complicated person."

"She is indeed" Kiineq sighs. "And those are dangerous emotions, if one is not able to control them."

"She has always seemed to be in control," Syll'kann says, slowly. "Master Ismeth has always kept herself on a strict line."

"Yet I sense that she sometimes comes perilously to loosing her control." Kiineq looks at Syll'kann.

"I have not sensed that, Master Tiran. But, I must admit that I don't run into Master Ismeth as much, as you do." Syll'kann looks at Kiineq.

"I think it usually precedes her departures. That she uses the trips as a safety valve of sorts."

Kiineq nods. "Precisely."
He looks at Syll'kann. "Yes. Perhaps it would be best if it was more than one"

"But more than one talking to her would perhaps make her think of an interogation." Syll'kann shakes his head, his lekku twitching.

"Not necessarily " Kiineq replies. "That would depend greatly on how it is approached."

"With your knowledge of Master Ismeth, how would you approach?" Syll'kann asks. Not that he expects Master Tiran to have any full answer to that question.

Kiineq sighs and rubs his cheek looking thoughtful.
"I am not sure" he says. "I can't figure out if a direct approach would be more beneficial than a more subtle one."

"Probably not" Kiineq replies. "Master Ismeth is not exactly the conversational type. Unless she wants to be"
