Naitia thinks for a bid.
"Hard to say. I mostly believe, that there is a higher purpose with everything that's going on, but fail to see, what the purpose with this crisis is and why the Fallen chose as they did. Luck may be happening sometimes, but other times ..." she shrugs. "As Jedi, we have to believe in the Force and that everything will turn out, as it should, in the end."

"So, all those people who died on Jandoon? They were simply meant to die? Is that what you're saying?" Tianara frowns

Naitia shakes her head. "Of course not. That should never have happened. But the Fallen goes their own ways and stops at nothing, to reach their goal. That has nothing to do, with faith or what the Force wants. It was what they wanted."

"but if there is nothing as coincidence? If we have to believe that everything will turn out as it should? Isn't that the same as saying that all those people had to die? That it was just a piece of the puzzle that will lead to "the end"? " Tianara frowns
"And if there's such a thing as the will of the force - then surely, nothing that has to do with the force happens "for no reason"? If there's a will of the force, then, the fallen were meant to be there, weren't they? Either that, or the will of the force is not strong enough to ensure the safety of innocent people"

Naitia shakes her head, while looking closely at Tianara.
"I don't have all the answers for that. The same question, can be asked, when it comes to war. Why will the Force allow this? Why do innocent people have to suffer? Why do people act as they do? Those questions have been asked for centuries, and we're no closer to an answer now, then we were then."
She sighs, before continuing. "I feel it hard to believe, that the Fallen listens to the Force and their own conciense, when it comes to reaching their goal. They took Jandoon, the people were in the way and they found some way to kill them all. They wanted the Chancellor killed, so they stopped at nothing, to kill her.
I feel the same as you and can't see, what the purpose of the massacre on Jandoon was and maybe it wasn't the will of the Force. It's at a time like this, that the balance of the Force has been shaken and we must do what we can, to bring the balance back."

Tianara frowns
"I don't think there's such a thing as the will of the force. Or fate. Or that our destiny is laid out for us by some greater power, and that everything happens for a reason. Has it ever occurred to anyone that the force is just a powersource that can be used for anything we want to? It is just... a sort of material, that some people have the ability to use. Nothing more, nothing less"

Naitia listens carefully to what Tianara says and sighs a bid.
"Yes it has. The Fallen, for example. They left the Order, because they wanted to gain more power and make the best of it, on their behalf. If everyone believed that it was just a power source, and of we used the power of the Force to its full extent, then the view of the Jedi would be completely different. The Order may not be allowed to exist, because of people's fear to, what we might be able to do, seeing as we as Jedi, rely so much on the Force, to hold back feelings like fear, anger, hate and jealousy, so that we don't become like them; powerhungry.
I can see, why you feel like you do. Because when it comes to the people on Jandoon, it is really hard to see, why there should be something like the will of the Force. But, it isn't just a powersource. It isn't power that guides us, in the directions, that we go, or helps us choose the things that we do. It is a mixture of our own will and in which direction the Force "points" us to. Especially, when there are others, that needs our help."

Tianara frowns
"I am afraid we don't see eye to eye in this matter, Jedi La-Don. The Fallen are doing terrible things, yes. But they are using the very same power source as we are - the Force. This, to me, proves that the Force is just a pool of energy we can tap into, using for good or evil as we please. It does not act on its own. The Force is neutral. It is a power given to us. A power that we can with, as we please. Just like there are good and evil people all other places in the galaxy, there will always be good -and- evil forceusers, but that has nothing to do with the Force itself"

Naitia nods.
"I think that every Jedi, has a different view on the Force and I won't force my oppinion on you. But," she sighs again before continuing. "we might be able to use the powers that is given to us by the Force, as we want, but if we let our emotions get the best of us, we can end up doing something, that we can't control, because we can end up doing it, without being aware of it. If we let our emotions run over, even more worse things can happen. It's not always, of course, but it has happened before."

"I'm not saying we should just do as we want to, without thinking of the consequences, but that there is no such thing as "fate", the "will of the Force" and things like that" Tianara frowns

"That's up to the individuals to decide what they believe and how they act on it. But I'm glad, that you also take the seriousness of the concequences, that our actions can cause." She smiles slightly.

"But that doesn't just go for Jedi, you know" Tianara runs a hand through her hair
"All actions of all individuals of the galaxy have consequenses. That's how life is, Knight Naitia...."

"I know. And we're the ones, who sometimes have to pick up the pieces that is left. But that is because, most people, who don't think of the concequenses, only thinks of themselves and what they can gain of what they do, instead of what kind of effect, it may have on others. Which is not something that we as Jedi, do."

Tianara frowns
"You know, I don't think you're right about that. I don't think the majority of people who forgets about consequences only do so, because they are to focused on what they can gain from this or that. But many people might not be able to foresee what consequences will come from different things. Just as we Jedi are unable to foresee all the consequences of certain acts"

Naitia takes a deep breath. "Maybe not. But there are many, both outside and inside the Republic, who only has themselves in mind. Some people can show their greediest side that way, which is a flaw, that can cost someone everything, they hold dear."

"I would say, that it is not the Jedi way, or, at least not the way, that things should be handled, by those that represents the Order, when out on missions. I feel the same way, but once some Jedi has got the hang it, and got more sure of themselves, it's hard to turn them away from it."

She thinks for a bid, before continuing.
"When the feeling of success, gets to someone, either a Jedi or someone else, sometimes, you can feel like, you can do everything. And when failure happens, some can be overwhelmed by frustration and disappointment. You'd want to do better, get stronger, so that you don't want to fail again, which can happen to Jedi as well, and when they want to get stronger, the wish can turn into greed, because you can end up wanting more." She shakes her head. "We are not invincible, failure can happen."
