First of all, we are all here to have fun, so please keep that in mind while playing here. What you consider fun, might not be so for someone else. Always take that into consideration.
Do not start playing until you have read all the rules!
Most importantly! You need to be 15 years of age to play!
1) Stay IC (In character) at all times. Only if it is very important for the understanding of your post are you allowed to use OCC (Out of character) speech, and then you must write it this way: ((OOC: enter message here))
2) When you post, keep it in 3rd person, present time.
3) The admin (that would be me and Anakin) takes all final decisions. You are allowed to question them, if you find our final judgement unfair, and we will listen and take your argument into consideration. However, we cannot promise that will change our decision.
4) Do not metagame (use knowledge you gained outside the game in game). If a player tells you something about his or her character that your character has no way of knowing, do not use it in game. It ruins the fun for both the player and yourself, eventually.
5) You are allowed to have as many characters as you desire. However, each character must have its own account. This means that you use your character name, when you register on the forum.
6) Please wait out for each other in the threads. There is hardly anything as annoying as not having been online a day, and then logging in just to find out that the two guys you were playing with have moved along without you. The rutine normally goes like this: "Player A, Player B, Player C". However, there might be incidents where one character has to skip another for things to go smoothly and seem natural.
7) You keep track of time. This means you can be in more threads at the same time, but you are responsible for keeping track of, what haven't taken place yet. Example: You're in a thread where you're attending an important meeting. While this thread is still going on, you start a thread taking place after the meeting. You should then be very careful when talking about the meeting, as you do not know how it ends yet. If you need to continue a thread somewhere else, you make an OOC message in the last post. Example: "((OOC: Continued at "Early breakfast in the temple")) - of course, the next thread has to have that title, and then and OOC message after it: "Early Breakfast in the temple ((continued from Loran's Room))"
8) This is, after all, only a game. Do not take In Game arguments out of game. What happens here, stays here. You are interacting with a number of fictional characters, and they do not behave or think like their players do. If you really feel someone has been stepping on your toes, please contact me.
9) and now that we do talk of the only a game thing, please keep in mind that there is something called real life. Sometimes real life can be really consuming, and sometimes, people just don't feel like playing. Please respect that. Yes, if you are in a thread with someone, there's nothing wrong with politely asking, if they want to finish it, but accept a "no, not right now". Also, if a long time has gone by without an answer, it is all right to ask, if the other player has forgotten the thread. It is known to happen But it is only a game. There is no harassing people in PM's or on msn. Start another thread and have fun there instead.
10) No powerplay and no killing off another players character without permission. You cannot decide that a certain character is mortally wounded. You can attack, but it is the player's own decision, how well you hit. Also, you need to ask permission to kill someone, and it has to be cleared with me too.
11) However, even though you decide when you get wounded, and when you do not, please keep in mind that all characters have weaknesses, and no one are invincible. You will take damage from time to time and you will fail at some of the things you are trying. And if you do not. Be prepared for something nasty coming your way.
12) No playing famous characters. You cannot be Mara Jade or Luke Skywalker. You can use a picture of an actor from SW, but there's no using Hayden Christensen and then playing Anakin Skywalker - or another kind of Jedi close to Anakin. Please try to be original and don't use SW actors/actresses for similar roles. Also, there's not gonna be any Leia Jade or Talon Solo. Nor do I want to see other names from famous movies or literature. Be original.
13) Sexual play: Sexual play is allowed. HOWEVER, there a some very strict rules as to how you do it. We don’t want to read your kinky, juicy sex fantasies – extremes are not welcome here, no S/M, no bondage, no strange fetishes. NO RAPING. Keep everything sober. Other people should be able to read your thread without feeling uncomfortable. No Oral or Anal sex, and no “funny” positions. The more commenly accepted styles (Doggy style, up against a wall etc” is allowed.
If a thread evolves into a sexual thread, the title of it MUST be changes (example: “Visiting a close friend” should be changed to “Visiting an old friend – Sexual Content”)
It is up to YOU to say stop. Just like in real life, you have to say no, when you’re no longer comfortable moving on. This should be done with an OOC message like this ((all right people, you can all guess the rest)) This can be done at any time, and you do not have to consult the other part of the thread. The moment YOU don’t feel comfortable, YOU draw the line.
The GMs can stop a sexual thread at any time, if we see something we find inappropriate.
