Tianara bites her lip, as she approaches the door of the older student. Sinnda and her had never been close, but Master Chapaa'ai himself had asked Tianara to go and let Sinn'da know it was time for her to make an appearance. Tianara is very well aware of what has happened to Sinn'da's Master, and is not exactly eager to be the one to get the other girl.
Tentatively, she knocks on the door, waiting for the other girl to reply.

"Yes?" The voice answering is tired and gloomy. Half a moment later, the door opens, revealing the young twi'lek padawan. Sinn'da doesn't really has the energy to smile at the other girl, but apart from that, she actually manages to keep her face rather neutral. Behind her, her room is a mess. Weather she has thrown her stuff around in a rage, or she just hasn't cleaned up, is not really possible to tell, but it's clear that something is wrong. And given the tired way her lekku are hanging down her back, she possibly hasn't been sleeping much the last couple of days. "Hey... Tianara..."

Tianara bows her head slightly, very well aware of the fact that Sinn'da is deeply affected by the death of her Master, and considering how Tianara herself has been feeling, since she came back from Jandoon - and her Master even survived - she's not surprised to see the state of Sinn'das room.
"Sinn'da..." She meets the Twi'lek's gaze, trying to offer her a reassuring smile.
"Master Chapaa'ai asked me to escort you to the memorial..."

Sinn'da stares silently at Tianara, liking her lips as if they were suddenly dry. Then she nods just once. A Jedi's clothes are to be humble and plain, and a padawan's likewise, but Sinn'da it still dressed neatly. In truth, she has been sitting on her bed for hours, waiting for the memorial to take place. She considered going down to the training halls to practice sparring. Preferably until she lost consciousness from exhaustion, but she'd had discarded that thought again. For some reason, she had not been able to move her feet until Tianara knocked on her door. "Yeah... Okay, good... I'm ready." She steps out into the hallway, closing the door after her.

Tianara glances at the Twi'lek, not really sure what to say. She didn't exactly look ready to Tianara, but then again - when were you ready to say the final goodbye to a person, whom you'd loved? She decides to stay behind Sinn'da, letting her decide the speed, but staying very close to her.

Sinn'da just walks down the hallways, neither fast nor slowly. She just moves her feet, letting them bring her down to the Great Hall where the memorial for her dead master was to be held.

Tianara steps in front of Sinn'da, and gently presses the button that opens the heavy doors, leading into the Great Hall. She then steps aside, allowing for Sinn'da to be the first to enter the room

Sinn'da hesitates as the heavy doors open. Her blue-skinned fingers clenches tightly for a moment, the nails biting into her palms. Then she takes a deep, silent breath, calling for her self control as the air escapes her lips again. She opens her eyes again, only now realizing she had closed them. Then she walks into the room, slowly but with a strong determination. She will say good bye to her Master with her head held high. Her emotions shall not control her. The best way to show Master Rina the respect she deserves, is to prove that she is a good padawan. Sinn'da could not have had a better Master, and she will prove that to everyone. Now and for every day to come. Everything she can, everything she is, she has learned from Master Rina. And her teachings shall not be forgotten.
Her lekku are tensed up, in an effort to make them not tie knots on them selves, as she walks closer to the center of the room.

Tianara glances at the gathered people in the room, noting how many has showed up to pay Master Rina the final respect. She carefully closes the door behind her, and then scans the room again, hoping to find a familiar face in the crowd. Finally, her eyes find her Master, and she quickly crosses the floor, to stand next to Kian.

Sinn'da takes her place, close to the center of the room. Were there a body, it would have been burned here. But she does not even have her Masters corpse to give her good byes to. She doesn't really notice all the people gathered with her in the Great Hall. Well, she does, of course, she is not blind. But it is as if she is still all alone in the crowd. Her mouth is dry, but her eyes show no emotions. Her face could have been made of rock. She just hopes that Master Chapaa'ai, or someone else, will say something. She doesn't know if she can herself.
You are to be a Jedi some day. Don't let your emotions control you. Pull yourself together!

Kian places a hand on Tianaras should as she stands next to him. His hood is up and his robe is covering his legs. His hand gives Tianaras shoulder a reasuring squeeze before retreating into his sleeves.

Heavy footsteps are heard from the crowd, and then, Chapaa'ai steps forwards, placing his rather enormous paw on Sinn'da's shoulder. He growls lowly, before scanning the room. Everybody seemed to be in place. Gently, he leads Sinn'da to the center of the room, then looks down at her, a warm gleam in his eyes.
Then, he starts growling and humming quietly, gently moving his free paw in the air, gesticulating as he speaks.
"Master Chapaa'ai thanks you all for coming here today, to show Master Rina the final respect. He himself is grateful for your presence, and he is certain Padawan Sinn'da shares this view with him"
The big Wookiee looks down at the Twi'lek girl.

Sinn'da fights the urge to bite her lower lip, and staightens herself up. She looks at the people gathered in the room, and then turns her eyes to Master Chapaa'ai as she feels his eyes on her. She nods silently buying a short moment to find her voice. "Yes. I am grateful for you all to come here." To her own surprice, her voice sounds calm and strong. She allows her hands to clench themselves lightly, half hidden as they are in the wide sleves of her tunic. "And I know that Master Rina is too, though she is not with us anymore." Sinn'da is not really aware of what she is saying. Her lips form the words themselves.

The enormous Wookiee pads Sinn'da gently (though the size of his paw still makes the pad feel rather heavy) on the shoulder. He growls quietly, and then allows the droid at his belt some time to translate.
"Master Chapaa'ai would also like to thank you all for coming, and ask that we all share in two standard minutes of silence, in honour of Master Rina"

Sinn'da manages not to move too much under Master Chapaa'ai's heavy paw on her shoulder, and presses her lips together to a thin line. She bows her head, staring at the floor without really seeing it. All too many thoughts and memories pass through her mind right now.

Tianara folds her hands in front of her, bowing her head. Though Sinn'da might not be aware of it, Tianara does have a pretty good idea of how she feels. Even though her Master survived, it was close to going very wrong...She takes a deep breath, a part of her wishing the memorial service is over soon.

Sinn'da would perhaps be aware of Tianara's mood being not much unlike her own, had she not been so lost in her own sadness right now. She tries to use the two minutes to calm herself, but before long she is lost in old memories instead. When the heavy silence lifts again, she is grateful. She doesn't want to feel this way. So heavy and crushed and lost inside herself. It is wrong. But none the less...she does.
