Seth casts a glance around the corridor, noticing two more security cameras, as he knocks on the door. Good. At least security seems to be of some priority here. He just hopes, that senator Jupal feels the same way about protecting herself. Well, he'll know that soon enough.

The visitor doesn't have to wait very long, before his knock on the door is answered.
"Come in," a womans voice, sharp and clear, answers.

Seth opens the door, as commanded (really, that voice sounds rather commanding), and closes it behind him again after entering the room. He looks at the senator, but has already mentally noticed the room's size, interior, the heigh to the ceiling, every window and the view from them.
He nods once. "Senator Jupal." It is not a question, it is a statement. He has done a lot of background research on the senator, and would probably recognise the most of her family, and even know their names.

Senator Jupal is seated behind a desk in the center of the room, apparently writing something down on a datapad. She has her back turned on the huge windows through which there is a fantastic view of the city horizon. The office is decorated in Naboo colours, but still has a scent of intergalactic aura about it.
The Senator looks up, as the door closes behind Seth, and pushes her datapad away. "Yes?" A pair of steelgrey eyes look at the man, who just entered the room. "Can I help you?"

"Seth Vall, senator. Your new bodyguard." His voice is calm and polite, but gives away no emotions whatsoever.

"Bodyguard?" Senator Jupal frowns in disbelief and takes a closer look at Seth. "I don't recall having asked for a bodyguard. What is this about?"

Seth does not as much as blink at her reply, but inside he sighs. Deeply.
"I am aware of that fact. But I was assured, that you had been informed, that every senator has been given a personal bodyguard, after the increased threat, related to the Jandoon affair."

"Yes, I am aware of that." Senator Jupal pushes her chair back to stand up. "But I am also aware of the fact that I specifically rejected the offer to have a bodyguard."

"Your rejection was rejected, senator Jupal." Still no trace of emotion in his voice, though his words could be taken as a smart reply. But Seth doesn't work with smart replies. Just facts.

"So it seems...." Senator Jupal stands and walks around the desk. "So they sent you to protect me?"

"Supreme Chancellor Sytar, to be more precise. And yes. She did. Will it be a problem, Senator?"

Senator Jupal crosses her arms over her chest in a very slowly move. "Tell me something, Mr. Vall. And do consider to be honest with me, thank you. Do I really have a choice in this matter?"

Seth looks at her. He raises one eyebrow ever so slightly, but apart from that doesn't move.
"No. And be assured, I usually prefer being honest with people. No need to tell me to."

"Very well, then." Senator Jupal takes a couple of steps closer, looking at him with her piercing eyes, as if she is trying to read his mind. "How old are you?"

"30 standard years, senator. Would you like my ID-file send to you?" He surely hopes she will be a bit more..cooperative than this.

"Yes, thank you very much." Senator Jupal raises her eyebrow a bit. "You are young. Too young. I do not want anyone that young to die for me."

Great. 30 years old and being called a kid. Now that's rich.
"The older one gets, the weaker. Counting from the late twenties for average humans. And you do not need anyone old and weak to protect you." He tilts his head a bit to the side. "Besides, I have been in dangerous situations since I joined the military, and working for you or not will not change my life on that account. So do not concern yourself with my safety, it is you, who are important in this matter,"

"So you will die for me? Without any second thoughts?" Senator Jupal meets his eyes. "Do you have any idea what that means?"

Seth doesn't look away. He just meets her eyes with a calm and sincere face. "I do know what death is, yes, senator Jupal. And I will die for your life, if need be."

Senator Jupal sighs and shakes her head. For a moment she closes her eyes, as if he will disappear, when she opens. He does not, when she opens them again.
"Sit down. Please." She points at a chair and walks to her desk to sit down again.

Seth does not say more, as he is not asked. He does as she says, and sits down in the chair opposite her. He casts a glance out the large windows behind her, taking a better look at the skyscrapers outside.

Senator Jupal looks at her and slowly folds her hands. "So.. Since I have nothing to say in this bodyguard matter..." she says. "I am going to accept it. What will this mean?"

Seth shifts his gaze back to the senator as she speaks. Well, that is good news. At least he will not have to fight her to protect her. "That depends a lot on what security measures are already set up to protect you. I will be around you 24 hours* a day, and I'll have to check on whatever you plan on doing. I am not going to lock you up, but unnecessary trips to the lower levels are not a good idea." "But to start with, you have to do something about that panorama." ((*I checked it, Coruscant has 24 hour-days ))

Aeré does not seem to be fond of the term '24 hours a day', but she doesn't protest. She is far too correct to do that, however her little sister would have started yelling in very strong words now. Which is one of the big differences between Aeré and Tanné.
"The panorama?" She looks over her shoulder to take a look at the huge windows. "What is wrong with it?"

Seth would not have been surprised if the senator had begun to yell. But that is probably because he has worked with her sister in the military from time to time, and there 'Jupal' means 'temper'. But he is glad Aeré is different from her sister on that point.
"I have already counted at least eight skyscrapers from which your office will be within both sight and range of a standard sniper rifle."

Aeré looks out the window, for once looking really surprised. Then she looks back at Seth. "You did that, just by looking out the window??" she asks.
She takes another look at the window. "I only see the view. The skyline."

"That is my job, Senator." Seth politely ignores every hint of surprise in her face. "Knowing what is a threat and what is not. And I will not see you killed because of the view from your office."

Aeré raises her eyebrows a bit. "That is comforting to know."
She rests her elbow on her desks and folds her hands. "Can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee?"

Seth is just about to refuse her offer, but then changes his mind. It might ease the tension, and break down a bit of that displeased atmosphere around her.
"Coffee sounds good, thank you,"

Aeré smiles at him and leaves her chair to get coffee. Most of her collegues wouldn't think of getting their coffee on their own, but she likes to be at least a little independent of a huge staff. For a moment she leaves the office through another door than the one, Seth came through, leaving him free to take a look around, if he wants to.
