Name: Coeur Ismeth
Race: Zabrak, female
Age: 47 years old
Homeplanet: Coruscant
Height: 1,90 m
Weight: 77 kg
Haircolour: Black/Dark brown
Eyecolour: Amber
Languages: Basic, Zabrak, a little Huttese
Profession: Jedi Master
Appearance:
Coeur is a very tall Zabrak woman. Her skin is black, and her hair is dark brown, almost black. It is reaching to her waist, rarely collected in a braid or a ponytail. She likes it loose.
Her face has beautiful traits, and her eyes are coloured like amber. They have a strange ability to glow in the dark. Despite her fairness, she has a glooming aura around her. She tends to scare people alone with her height, her dark appearance and the glares, she can send people, telling them exactly, what she thinks of them. Her facial tattoos, common to one of her kind, are darkgreen. The meaning of the tattoos is, however, only known to herself.
She prefers standing in the shadows, away from the crowd, as an observer. Although she sits in the Council, she is not very chatty. She will join the discussions, whenever she has something relevant to add. The best way to find Coeur is to drift around in the corridors of the Temple. There you will find her.
Coeur dresses in a dark grey tunic with a dark brown undertunic beneath. Her overtunic is more like a long kimono with a broad obi to hold her tunics together and keep her long tabs in place. The obi and the tabs are both dark brown.
Coeur carries two light sabers in her belt. Both weapons contain red crystals and glows with a red colour, just a little darker than the colour mostly used by the Fallen.
Personality:
Coeur is not the kind of person, you go to, when you need to be comforted, because something has gone wrong. You go see her, when you need some advice. She will happily give you one. But nothing more. She despises weakness.
Though she might not look like it, Coeur rarely turns down an apply for help. She will help, wherever she is needed – but do not address her without a good reason. She tends to get very grumpy, and she is hot-tempered, too. In fact her temper has brought her very close to the Dark Side on several occasions.
Coeur is a very tough lady, having experienced much in her life, and her humor is heavily affected by those.
Special Abilities:
Coeur owns two light sabers and knows very well to use them. She trains daily at the Temple, more persistent than other Masters. The last couple of years, after the incidents concerning her Padawans, she has kept herself busy doing field work. Her cunning abilities serve her well, helping her to hide and survive in different environments. Through the Force, she has some skills in Healing, but her strongest ability is mind reading.
Background:
As any other Force-sensitive Coeur was taken from her parents and brought to Coruscant. She grew up in the Temple, was trained as a youngling by Master Yoda, and was assigned to a male Twi’lek Jedi Master named Sha’ast, as soon as she was old enough. The two quickly developed a bond through the Force.
Coeur did well and was seen as a gifted Padawan, and as soon as her Master thought her old enough, he allowed Coeur to do field work on her own. The young Zabrak Padawan had a group of Republic Commandos assigned to her disposal. The group was commanded by a young human officer named Kaelen Charr.
Coeur went on many field missions on her own with the commandos. Sometimes she felt lonely, being so far away from her Master, but she soon found herself bonding to another person – in an entirely different way. In an inappropriate way, she knew that. But she couldn’t help it. After all, she had spent so many missions accompanied by Kaelen Charr that she hardly knew a world without him. During their time together on travels to other planets, the two grew close and eventually fell in love. Coeur told no one of her feelings. She kept them to herself and managed to keep them hidden from her Master.
Then Master Sha’ast joined Coeur and the commandos on a mission to Corellia to investigate a matter of pirates attacking fuel stations in orbit around the planet.
As they arrived on the planet, a station had been hijacked by a pirate band, threatening to attack other stations or ships.
Kaelen and the commandos prepared to move in along with the two Jedi. To them, it was a mission like any other.
However the mission soon took a tragic turn of events. The pirates were all too well prepared for the arrival of both commandos and Jedis.
Noone really knew what happened on that station.
But Coeur was the only one returning alive from Corellia. Her Master and the commandos, even Kaelen, had not made it out of the station alive. According to Coeur’s explanation to the Council, they had all been captured by the pirates shortly after arriving on the station. Things had gone out of hand, but they had managed to take back control over the station. That was when the pirates started firing at the station to make sure that if they couldn’t have it, no one else would.
Coeur had been the only one to escape back to the hangar, having been separated from her group on the way. She got on board a ship, and from space she watched the station getting blown up, and with it her Master and Kaelen.
What Coeur didn’t tell the Council about the incident, was the fact that her Master was dead long before the station blew up. The pirates had forced her to choose between the life of her Master and the life of Kaelen – her love. And she chose to sacrifice her Master’s life. He told her to.
On their way back to the hangar Coeur and Kaelen got separated. Kaelen died. Coeur lived.
Coeur was deeply marked by the incident, never fully recovering. Others weaker than her would have been crushed. But she chose to stay in the Order, serving loyally. The memory of Kaelen she still carries in her heart, but he is just a memory. Her future is to be a Jedi.
The Council made her a Knight after the incident, and many years later she took her first Padawan, accepting the rank of Master.
Coeur took two Padawans, but both chose a darker path and fell to the Dark Side. The first one managed to reach Knighthood and then left the Order. The second embraced the Dark Side still as a Padawan.
Whether it was bad luck or Coeur’s abilities as a Master responsible for the Padawans’ fall is still discussed in the Council. In her absence , of course.
