Name: Azan Thane
Race: Human, male
Age: 26 standard years
Homeplanet: Alderaan
Profession: Recently fallen Padawan
Languages: Basic, Huttese, Bottchee, Ryll, High Galactic, understands some very basic phrases of Wookiee.
Haircolour: Brown
Eyecolour: Brown
Height: 1,78 m
Weight: 49 kg
Appearance:
Azan is not remarkably tall for his age, but he is not really bothered by his lack of height. Though he'd wish that he was just a little taller. His hair is a long, thick mane of greyish brown, collected in a pony tail hanging down his back. Hidden somewhere in that mane he still has his Padawan braid. The eyes are a bright brown, but if you look into Azan's eyes, you'll see nothing but a twisted reflection of yourself.
Azan is very light of built and very skinny. He has quite handsome features, but that is lost by his paleness, as if he is spending too much time indoors. Which he probably does, because he is born with a ruined health. One change in the weather results in him lying in his bed with a fever. The Force flowing in his veines is not doing much to help him resisting diseases – only helping him survive.
As if his weakness from birth wasn't enough, Azan was severely injured during a mission. He recovered, except for his lungs. He gets violent coughing fits, some worse than others. It depends.
Personality:
You never know, where you have Azan. He can be both respectful and polite in front of people with a higher rank than him, but you never know, if he really means anything with it. He is a master of keeping a stoneface and hide his thoughts behind his brown eyes. He seems like a calm, quiet person keeping to himself. A loner. Underneath the calm, blank surface he is, however, filled with bitterness aimed on everything around him and his failing health.
Despite his fysical weakness Azan is a very ambitious young man, who is determined to get what he wants, no matter the cost. Failure is not an option. No need to say, his ambitions make him very stubborn.
Azan doesn't give much for other people – unless they prove some use for him to reach his goals.
Abilities:
When it comes to Azan, knowledge is power. You learn all your life. Wisdom may come with age, but you will still learn something entirely new to you. Azan is always thirsting for new knowledge and would spend all his time studying, if he had the opportunity. He has a fotografic memory and a mind that is sucking every impression out of his surroundings. Through the Force this ability only grows, but it is sometimes hard for Azan's mind to take it all in. Which makes him sick.
Azan has – like any other Padawan his age – built his own light saber. It has a bright yellow colour from the crystals used inside. However, he is not fond of using it in combat. There are other ways to defeat an enemy. Besides, his fysical weakness is not helping him in a light saber duel. Quite the opposite.
Background:
Like any other Jedi in training, Azan was taken from his parents as an infant and brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. (Feels like we've been here before?)
The boy grew up, and despite of his failing health he was believed to become a great Jedi one day. He had the potential, and he was willing to sacrifice everything – even his own life – for the Force. It was all, he had. What made him special. He was a fast learner and spend most of his time off in the Archives – even as a youngling.
When he was old enough, he was assigned to a Jedi Master and left the youngling life to be a Padawan.
Though he was a gifted young man, Azan didn't make many friends at the Temple. He kept to himself, spending all his time meditating and studying. All in the work to become a Jedi. He wanted to know everything, there was to know about being a Jedi and the Force.
He improved in his training and went on many missions with his Master, but he didn't really connect with the older Jedi. It seemed, as if he was always keeping a distance between himself and his Master.
However, it was a shock, when Azan decided to leave the Jedi Order for good. After staying with his Master for several years, he came to the conclusion that he had learned everything, the other could teach him. Since the Jedi Archives couldn't provide him with any more knowledge, he began to make plans for his departure from Coruscant and the Jedi Order.
