Syll'kann nodds slowly, recalling Master Kian and his Padawan. Gifted, both of them. He ignores the little, friendly arguing between Master Chapaa'ai and his translater droid. The droid had been with the wookie since Syll'kann himself was a little boy with short lekku. Still he can't keep a little smile from the corner of his mouth. "Yes, Master. I haven't been lost in the Archives that long." He tilts his head. "What was the response of the Fallen?"

Chapaa'ai shakes his head and hums in a sad tone. He growls, and bangs the branch into the ground. Though anger is not the way of the Jedi, he is clearly displeased with what has happened.
[They came back a few hours ago...Master Kian without legs!] Another loud bump from the branch, and Chapaa'ai strokes his braids with the left paw.
[The girl is unharmed, only a few minor bruises - and shocked, of course]

Syll'kann's reptile features remains untouched, but his lekku twitch even more. Without even noticing it himself, his hand puts itself to rest on his wounded knee, clench hard together as if in pain. Years back, he would have snarled, showing all his sharpened teeth. Now, his face is as bleak as the Mon Calamari ocean. They had actually... His knee aches, worse than before.
Slowly his fist unclenches, and he looks at Chapaa'ai. "What happened, Master?" he asks silently.

Chapaa'ai shakes his big, furry head, and holds onto the brack with both paws.
[we have yet to question the girl. We thought it best to let her rest and get a chance to see to her Master first. She did however briefly explain the situation. Apparently a group of the Fallen Jedi appeared after the two of them landed, and when Master Kian tried to approach them, they drew their lightsabers. How they managed to escape, I do not know, but the girl succesfully got her Master inside the ship and took off from the planet....]
The old Wookiee Master sighs deeply, still with the sad look in his eyes.

Syll'kann's frown grows even deeper, as he listens to Master Chapaa'ai. "I see..."
Being a Fallen Jedi was not necessarily being evil. A Jedi could chose to leave the Order for whatever reasons he or she had, but turning to the Dark Side was not always an issue. Yet, here there could be no doubt. His own sigh is almost as deep as Master Chapaa'ai's. "What is the Council's decision on this? How are we going to respond?"

Chapaa'ai growls deep inside his throat, and clenches the branch between his paws.
[we need to get some inside information from the place, but we still do not know how to get someone inside...however, it is my oppinion that we must take action. There is no longer any doubt in my mind that the Fallen Jedi were responsible for the killing of Jandoon's population...We cannot let this pass unnoticed...]
Chapaa'ai seems to shrink a little, no longer carrying himself with the same pride. His age is showing, he's old and tired. And worried.

Syll'kann can easily feel the worry from the elder Jedi Master, and he feels the same in his heart and his entire being. He knows of what horrors Dark Siders can set lose in the galaxy. "But sending someone to infriltate the Fallen Jedi can be dangerous. A weak mind could give in to the Dark Side and be lost," he says, folding his hands in his lap. "A stronger mind could be given away, since we do not know, what we are dealing with excactly."

Chapaa'ai nods with a heavy sigh. It looks as though something heavy has been put on his shoulders, something weighing him down. He nods slowly.

Syll'kann straightens up a bit, pushing the shock and worry about these troubled news away. Master Chapaa'ai is right. They must act. For the first time in many years Syll'kann feels a little regret for his crippled knee. He is no good in active duty, should it ever come to that. Of course, this unease doesn't show on his face.
"Say a word, Master Chapaa'ai."

Chapaa'ai nods, and moves the branch, so it rests between his enormous legs, and not to his right side.
he hums gently, clearly pleased that the Twi'lek Master is willing to help him.
[you know the archives well. I would like it, if you would look into the Jedi, who have Fallen, and who might be among the group of Jandoon. The girl Tianara told of an Anzat, but there might be others of interest...]

Syll'kann bows his head a bit in a respectful nod. "I will, Master Chapaa'ai."
Inside his head he's already going through the information given to him by the Wookie Jedi. An Anzat... Telepathic, weren't they?? Feeding on people's brains... Syll'kann feels a chilly shiver run down his spine. This could be more serious, than he'd expected...
He can already feel a tickle in his fingertips and the longing for the Archives. Yet, he remains seated, looking at Master Chapaa'ai. "If you don't mind, Master, I'll get to work right away."

Chapaa'ai nods, and there's a kind smile in his eyes.
[of course, Master Syll'kann, I suspected you might feel that way]

"To some people in this galaxy I'm like an open book..." Syll'kann returns the smile and get to his feet - almost keeping the sign of pain of his face this time. His knee is truly giving him some trouble today, more than any other day. Again he reminds himself to get it checked. But now there are other more important things than his aching knee to deal with. "As soon as I find anything of furher notice, I'll let you know, Master."

Chapaa'ai growls gently and nods.
He grabs hold of the branch, and hauls himself up in a standing position.

"Thank you, Master Chapaa'ai." Syll'kann bows, as deep as his crippled knee permits him to, and turns towards the great staircase from which he came. All right... Here we go again...
The tall Twi'lek leaves the garden, limping as always. But with a little more entusiasm than before.
