This is a disclaimer!
Author: Dust
Characters: Aeré and Seth
Disclaimer: Seth is mine, Aeré is Bloody's. The rest is old George's.
Summary: Aeré is being ready for a reception
Authors' notes: I wrote it, you'll have to ask Bloody about the accuracy of Aeré's character.
"Now, you think I should wear the silver pendant, or the pearls?"
"'Yes."
"... 'Yes' what?"
"The first."
"You weren't even looking, Seth."
Seth politely looked up. "Silver suits you." he explained, hoping he didn't insult her in some way. What did he know about jewels anyway?
Aeré seemed to think about it.
"No. The Mon Calamarian senator will be attending the reception, and the pearls were a gift from his predecessor. Not wearing them would be an insult."
"Then wear them."
"On the other hand, the pendant was my mother's, and you know how important family is to the Mon Calamarians. If you really think I should wear it, I guess he would understand."
Seth reminded himself (again) NOT to have an opinion about ANYTHING.
"Why don't you just wear what you feel like?"
"Because I asked you, Seth. That's why."
"And my say is important to your political colleagues because...?"
"Forgive a lady for wanting reassurance that she looks decent, before going out." She smiled coldly.
Seth answered with a deep sigh. Then he stood up and walked over to her.
"You look both decent and beautiful, senator. Whichever necklace you decide to wear."
Aeré chuckled.
"You are even worse at this than my sister." she said, putting on the silver pendant.
"I'm sure I am. Now get your coat, or we are going to be late."
Aeré did as he said. Seth grabbed the keys, holding the door for her.
"You only complimented me to to get me to hurry." she accused him.
"Of course not, senator."
"Yes, you did. I know."
"Fine."
Aeré frowned. "You are hopeless."
"Sure."
