"Something dark." Shep says, The same as you That he doesn't say, but keep it firmly to himself. "Evil. Like something happened here." He voice is not exactly respectful, it has an undertone of 'what do you think?'

Kiineq shoots Shep a sharp glance, trying to catch the boy's eye. "Padawan!" He is not at all pleased with the boy's reaction. "Watch your tone!"

"Yes, Master." Shep says, but it is purely a reflects. His annoyance at his Master still shinning through.

Kiineq almost sighs. He didn't really feel that this was the moment for scolding his apprentice.
"You can save that attitude for later, young one." he says firmly. "Concentrate on what we have to do."
Kiineq starts walking towards the suspicious-looking inn, clearly expecting Shep to follow. He is still on high alert for any changes in the Force.

"Right, Master." Shep mumbles and follows his Master, refocusing on their mission, though he is still annoyed at his Master and the reprimand only makes him more annoyed. Why does his Master have to treat him like some kid?

Kiineq continues towards the inn. As he reaches the door he stops to turn and look at Shep. "Clear your mind, Padawan." he says, "Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs."
With that, he turns and enters the inn.

"Yes, Master." Shep says, this time sounding almost respectful of his Master. He takes a deep breath and enters the inn behind his Master, making sure to be alert and ready for anything.

The inn surely doesn't get any less suspicious as the pair enter it. On the contrary. It is quite clear that this is a place for criminals, smugglers and bounty hunters alike

Kiineq takes in the surroundings, checking out the 'guests', without appearing to do so.
He starts walking towards the bar.

Shep half closes his eyes for a second and lets the force guide his thoughts around the room taking in its occupants. He follows his Master towards the bar, wondering what they are doing in this place.

The inn keeper looks up as Kiineq approaches. A tall, muscular darkskinned man, he's probably capable of scaring off most unwanted customers. He eyes Kiineq and Shep suspiciously.
"He's a minor"

"And he will not be drinking" Kiineq returns evenly as he reaches the bar. Apparently the Jedi Master is not intimidated by the dark man, but then again, he himself is not exactly small. He gives the innkeeper a stern glance, as if to accentuate his statement.
The tall man keeps searching the room with the Force, trying to locate and pinpoint the source of the darkness he felt outside.

To an outsider Shep does not seem affected by the comment from the innkeeper at all, he is after all a minor, so the innkeeper is right. But on the inside the young Padawan is seething. He is not just some kid! But even so he remembers not to show it and shoves it to the back of his mind as he joins Kiineq at the bar. He keeps his mouth shut and stays alert for anything.

"Doesn't matter" The innkeeper looks at Kiineq.
"No minors in here. At least no strange minors in here. We don't like strangers"
The Dark presence is more like a vague feeling, not radiating from any person in particular

Kiineq calmly meets the innkeepers eyes and holds them. "You will have to tolerate this one" he says firmly, using the Force ever so slightly to persuade the man see 'reason'. He refrains from using outright mind tricking, as that would be too noticeable in a crowd like this.
Kiineq is a little puzzled as to the origin of the dark presence. He is not yet sure what it exactly is he is sensing. [Picking up anything, Padawan?] he asks, for the moment ignoring what he can sense of Shep's mood.

Shep keeps his reactions on the inside again, though he is very much against being called strange. There is nothing strange about him as far as he is concerned. Just because every one in the galaxy cannot be a Jedi, it does not make the Jedi strange.
[Something.] Shep answers, though unsure what it is. He looks around the inn and sees several persons who looks suspicious, but he is not sure if any of them have anything to do with what he is feeling.

The innkeeper shakes his head slowly
"Your responsibility then" He eyes Shep, as if not trusting him
The dark presence is faint. Like it's just a leftover from someone who might have stayed here

"Always is" Kiineq replies with a little smile.
[Yes?] he probes.
"How is business?" the tall man asks elusively. "Anything or anyone one would want to watch out for?" He broadens his 'search radius', trying to sense beyond the inn too.

[It's almost like a sent left over from someone who was here. Someone evil.] Shep answers. [But there are plenty of these people, who probably wouldn't hesitate to do evil if they got the chance, only they would do it for profit.] Shep's disdain for the kind of people he has describe is clear through their bond.

"There's plenty of people around here you'd be careful around...."

Kiineq smiles at the innkeeper. "Of course there are." he says, carefully keeping his voice neutral. "But some are always worse than others, I find. Any... new 'players' in the game lately?"
[Very good, Shep] Kiineq simply replies to the Padawan.
He is still alert for any changes in the Force.

Shep smiles inwardly to himself. [Thanks, Master]. Okay, so he does know that he is a Padawan and not a knight, yet. But even so he doesn't like been treated like a kid. The Padawan relaxes a little bit as there are no immediate threats, though he stays alert.

Shep looks between the Innkeeper and Kiineq with a sceptical look. He does not believe the innkeeper is going to give them any real information. He decides to let his Master deal with the innkeeper and turns around to look at the rest of the people in the inn.
