Name: Aeré Jupal
Race: Human, female
Age: 34 years
Home planet: Naboo
Height: 1,80 meters
Weight: 70 kg
Hair colour: Dark silver
Eye colour: Grey blue
Appearance:
Aeré is the oldest of two Jupal-sisters from Naboo. She is a tall, elegant woman with beautiful, delicate features and big grey blue eyes. They can catch the eyes of many and are mostly calm and friendly, but filled with stubbornness and intelligence to warn people that this woman cannot be dragged around like a Tatooine farm girl. They can easily deliver a piercing glare to anyone forgetting that fact.
Her hair is a long, thick mane of dark silver, and she styles it according to Naboo traditions, depending on what clothes she's wearing.
Aeré prefers to dress in long robes and dresses in light colours, making her appear like a fairy from another mystic realm. However, she has always stayed with the Naboo fashion, where other senators have chosen to be a little more intergalactic. But Aeré finds it important to show that even though she lives on Coruscant, her heart and loyalty lies with her planet.
As a senator Aeré is very aware of what to wear in public. Only in private she allows herself to relax.
Aeré has a gift in using and reading body language. In her position she is always aware of such signs, both from herself and her surroundings. That's why, when in public or in the Senate, there's always a little smile around her mouth.
The Naboo senator's voice is a little dark and firm and anything but easy to ignore, once she starts to talk. Aeré has a very nice language, but whenever she feels like it, a curse or two can slip from her lips. Most of them she has learned from her sister.
Abilities:
Aeré is the one half of the Jupal-sisters gifted with the diplomatic abilities. Her other and younger sister got the bad temper. Aeré has the ability to maintain order whenever chaos is raging. When attending to public or formal occasions, she steps out from the common crowd, always laughing, smiling and having polite conversations with the other guests. She possesses a great knowledge of different planets and cultures and uses it frequently in such situations.
However, the matter is entirely different in the Senate. When stepping through the Senate's doorways Aeré turns into a strong, resounding voice, which seems impossible to silence again, once she has chosen her place to stand. A feature known among her friends – and the enemies, she has gotten through her politic carrier.
Coming from a peaceful planet, Aeré despises violence. However, she understands the importance of being able to survive in the galaxy. But, compared to other senators, she has rejected the idea of hiring a body guard. The thought of someone sacrificing their life for her sake, she finds completely absurd. She can take care of herself. She knows how to use a blaster and has been trained in self-defence by her younger sister in the commandos.
There is, however, another ability that Aeré has been blessed with, though she is not aware of it. Like her little sister, the Force is very strong in her. It warns her of hidden dangers, comforts her in dark times and helps her seeing truth from lie.
Personality:
Aeré is a well-liked person. She is friendly and obliging, wanting anyone to feel comfortable and relaxed in her presence. But there is another very different, scarred woman beneath the charming appearance. Aeré has taken her blows in life, but refuses to let them tear her down for good.
But when attending in the Senate she's deadly serious and knows how to make people listen to her arguments. Though she is the diplomatic Jupal-sister, Aeré has temper, too. She is stubborn and will stand her ground in cases important to her. But there are times, where Aeré knows the value of silence, too.
She may sometimes seem a little absent and dreamy, but don't try to use it to your advantage. Aeré's attention can be caught by small things as a shift of tone or the use of a specific word.
Aeré prefers to think, before she acts, but sometimes she can be a bit impulsive, though she tries to fight it by any means.
There are very few individuals in the galaxy that Aeré can't stand the very sight of. But she doesn't like Jedis. No one, except her sister, knows, why the skins on Aeré Jupal's arms crawls, whenever she's facing a Jedi. Her good manners prevents her, however, from being rude and rejecting to any of these Guardians of Justice. All must be treated with politeness and respect.
In private, when she's far away from politics, conflicts and intrigues, Aeré likes to study art, run and travel to other planets in her Nubian starship,
Aeré was happily married, once. But that was a long time ago. Now, when someone should try to talk her about her personal feelings, she reflects nothing but cold. Her own personal life is not of any significance to her any more. All she thinks to have left, are politics and her family back home on Naboo. Aeré loves her parents and her sister above all else in the galaxy.
Background:
Aeré Jupal was born and grew up on Naboo in the capital Theed. The Jupal family was very wealthy and lived in a narrow street near the Palace. Her parents were already well known in the Royal Court as advisers.
Along with her younger sister, Tanné, she was Force-sensitive, but her parents rejected the Jedi Order's offer to take Aeré to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi Knight. They wanted to keep their daughter at home in safety, as long as it was possible. The same happened, when her sister was born. Aeré was present that day, when the Jedi once again came to ask permission to take Tanné with them.
The little girl didn't like the way, the Jedi tried to persuade her parents to let go of their newborn daughter. They acted, as if there was no other way but to give Tanné away. And no one should take her little sister away from her, Aeré promised herself.
The two girls grew up together. Despite the four years separating them in ages, they developed a close bond to each other. People often mistook them for being twins.
Both Aeré and Tanné wanted to study politics and serve their planet as ambassadors or advisers in the Royal Court.
However, this changed suddenly, when Tanné was kidnapped by a Dark Side Renegade. She had just turned 15 and was on her way home from a trip to Coruscant, when her ship was attacked by pirates and blown to pieces.
Thinking her little sister to be among the dead, Aeré was crushed. Therefore she was as thrilled as her parents, when Tanné was brought back home, alive and unharmed, by a group of Jedis.
But in the middle of all the happiness, Aeré passed by her sister's room one late evening. She went inside and found her younger sister curled up on her bed, crying her heart out. After comforting her, talking to her for several hours, Aeré got the whole story from her little sister.
Tanné had fallen in love with her kidnapper and found her feelings returned. She had seen the man behind the cruelty and malice – and loved, what she saw. But the Jedi had taken him away from her. Killed him. Murdered him, according to Tanné.
Aeré listened to her sister and felt a growing dislike against the Jedi. They had crushed her little sister's heart.
The sister's lives continued, but in opposite directions. Tanné left Naboo and joined the Republic military, throwing all dreams of serving as a diplomat or a senator away. Aeré continued her studies and graduated from the university with fine distinctions. She joined the Royal Court, where she met her future husband. They married and decided to move to Coruscant. Here, Aeré was reunited with her sister, who was still in the military.
Aeré and her husband lived together for several years, but he left her, after it turned out that Aeré was not able to have any children. She was deeply scarred by the breaking and the shock of knowing that she would never have a family of her own, being as addicted to family life as she was. This made her freeze all her emotions and hide them deep inside her soul, where no one would ever find them. Not even herself.
Today, Aeré is a strong, determine senator, devoted to serve the Republic and Naboo.
